Sending alerts to forum users

I've just added an update so if you mention a user in a post with the @ symbol before their username they'll receive an alert.

Interesting idea. I'm not sure I want an alert every time sometimes decides to mention me. Can we opt out?

If I type three full stops in a row, the forum seems to convert them to a single full stop.

Scarfman you can opt out by heading to 'alert preferences' and remove the tick from 'tags you'

Just to clarify; these are forum alerts that show on the top toolbar when you're logged in, they don't send emails
