Is it just me, or is some of the advertising hoarding a little closer the the field of play in some of these games?? Apart from reducing the opportunities for quick line-outs, wouldn't it be a little dangerous?

It would be within the requirements set out by the IRB.

Yep it appears a little dangerous. Was it an Italian player i saw who showed tremendous athletiscim to hurdle the fence when he realised that he was going to hit it.

What are the signs made from metal? They don't look safe.

Perhaps it's just that the stadiums are closer to the action - more rugby friendly - and there isn't the same room as at the SFS and ANZ.

More rugby friendly - except if your the player who smashes into the hoarding.
