Don't usually say this, but I'd like to watch those nice fellas from NZ play this week re: Chiefs v Canes on Friday - should be a great contest

Aso is an Auckland boy I think, think he born there and certainly went to St Peters college, and played for Auckland in NPC (or Mitre 10 or whatever). He usually a midfield back, but honestly Brumby although he quite a good player, don't really see him in All Black frame even though he is eligible, there to many others ahead of him I think. He probably able to play for Samoa through parent/grandparent rule.

Was unfortunately poached by St Peters from Onehunga by one of our former 1st XV coaches when he moved back to St Peters. The ginger troll.

Pissing down in HamNZ but still a decent crowd.

Tim Nanai-Williams looks to have popped his shoulder five minutes in, S Donald on & presumably Cruden to 15.

Skill level has been pretty impressive so far considering the conditions. A far cry from the Australian games in slightly damp & humid conditions so far this year.

Series of 'canes infringements on their line results in ASavea being binned. Chiefs take the scrum option which is surprising given how slippery it looks out there.

EDIT: three resets later 'canes scrum splinters & Brodie goes over after Leitch made the initial drive. DMac all smiles & lands the extras, Chiefs 7-3 'canes after ~23.

'canes down to 13 after a high shot but DMac lets them off the hook by missing touch but makes amends from in front, Chiefs 10-6 'canes after 31. Ref reads riot act to Coles re: high tackles & general naughtiness, Coles looks suitably chastened:)

Toni Pulu scores in the corner from a TK-B chip as the HT siren sounds, DMac nails it like it was from in front in the dry, Chiefs 17-6 'canes & staring down the barrel.

EDIT: Cyclo, I'm picking it'll get looked at post-match but, yes, shoulda been YC.

Imagine how shit this game would be if it was 2 Aus Super Rugby teams - can't handle humidity let alone pouring rain.

Fucking hell our teams will never get better if they can't even play decent in the wet.

Next week for rebels vs chiefs...........bring the lube, shovels, tombstones, coffins, obituaries, flowers fuck it bring everything you need for a funeral

Chiefs reserve HB Christie has the palest legs & redest hair I think I've ever seen, no question about his Scots credentials...........

YC for Leitch, could & IMO should've been Red. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets upgraded post-match.
