Ref's appointment sheet has 0900 at Concord.

Colleagues with a handy lead in Sutherland close to full time. Average age of the starting XVs has Colleagues about 5 years younger and they've got a bit more running in them.

They’ve got juniors and a pretty big untapped pool in the area.

Well... if you ignore the Rugby Legaue club just across the river with 4 recent premierships and the entire pyramid that supports that :)

Will be interesting to see if Penrith impacts that unlimited player pool in the area.

Emus have started working with Penrith Anglican I believe.

I’d imagine that would be a big factor in why Colleagues and Waverley have been so dominant in the lower divisions.

Can anyone stop the dominance of Waves and colleagues in these divisions? 4th straight GF for Waverly in Whiddon. Waverlys won 3 of the last 5 Judd cups and into another GF.

Early tips for GF day next week:

Sutherland - Colleagues to avenge the SF loss over Waverley
Judd - Waverley unbackable favourites to beat Colleagues
Whiddon - tight one but calling it for Waverley over Colleagues
Barbour - Newport in a canter over Mosman
Burke - Hunters Hill over Waverley. Just.
Kentwell - hard to look past Hunters Hill going undefeated this season over Blue Mountains. That said, the goats haven't lost since R9 at Boronia, so it could be anything...

It would be nice to see the Division 1 women's GF fought out on Kentwell day 2026.

No idea how we fit it into a schedule that already starts at 0900, but maybe 5th grade is the victim

Subbies rep jerseys are sky blue?
Yeah, I forgot sarcasm doesn't translate over the internet. I would say those 2 are harder to call than UNSW and Briars with the matching navy shorts.

5th Grade has been Friday nights since I've been involved in Grand Final days (so since 2023) but I would like to see it definitely "mainstreamed" onto a bigger stage. Even D2 Grand Finals would be good, get them in front of a bigger crowd.

You know, I reckon one of these teams should have been in the Subbies-provided rep/clash jersey to avoid the sky blue-on-sky blue clash
I found the 1st Grade game a much harder watch with little variation in the colours. Thought you did a great job all day with some tough clashes.
I’ve raised it before and I can understand the lower divisions not having money for an alternative strip but these clubs have money and sponsors to burn. You can’t tell me they can’t afford an alternative strip?
Why have it in the rules if you don’t enforce it?

It’s insane that we are starting games at 9am and not having enough time to fit everything in even before we add more to it. What happens when Div 2 has a stand alone women’s comp? Do we move 4s to Friday night?
I love Concord as a venue but it’s not fit for purpose as it can’t host night matches. Kentwell kicking off at 7:30 under lights would be an impressive spectacle and allow the Women’s Final to be added in between Colts and 2s.
But you know Kentwells always been 3:15….

Kentwell at night would be a hell of a spectacle

Concord has never had lights and the grounds that do such as Rothwell (for example) don't tend to have TV quality lighting

We would likely need to look at a Leichhardt-type ground like Shute use before we could do that sort of thing but I'm actually a fan of that.
