After a lot of talking about player burn out in 2007 its pretty good to see our lot will pick their best players for the NH tour. Our CC had come into new life since the Bokke returned and I am pretty sure we'll see a 40,000 crowd when WP play the Lions in a CC do or die decider this coming saturday in the last round robin CC fixture. Altho there is quite few talented youngsters coming through at the moment I really dont thing the squad should differ that much from the 3 Nations one at all. Myself would love to see a specialist fetcher like Baywatch or Brussouw getting the nod.

The Springboks will send their strongest possible squad on the end-of-year tour to Wales, Scotland and England, acting managing director of SA Rugby, Andy Marinos, confirmed on Wednesday.

The Springbok selectors will meet in the week of the Absa Currie Cup final to discuss their choice and the squad will be named on the evening of October 25, following the final.

Marinos was speaking to quash reports that Springbok coach Peter de Villiers may rest some of his leading players for the tour.

"One of Peter's personal managers made some casual remarks to a reporter about Peter perhaps resting players for the end of year tour,? said Marinos. ?But we have agreed that following a final selection meeting, having viewed the Absa Currie Cup comprehensively, the strongest possible team will be considered for the tour," said Marinos.

"We met the leading provinces at the conclusion of the Vodacom Tri-Nations and discussed managing the players' workloads.

"But any suggestions attributed to the national coach that we will be resting players are absolutely incorrect."

Pretty sure we'll have Jac Fourie (starting last week) , John Smit (playing from the bench) and Bakkies Botha (maybe for the finals) in this squad. Dont think NH players like CJ van der Linde and maybe Butch James being picked.
