When it's all over I'll be interested to see what not counting each team's two worst performances does to SA's lead & whether it'd be possible for Aus, Arg or even Fiji to come through & win the Series.

Challenge:

SF1 USA 33-12 Japan
SF2 Spain 24-7 Kenya

Fifth place:

SF1 SA bounce back big, 36-7 v France
SF2 NZ 24-0 Eng at HT, looks like Dan Norton is going out on a low note...

Edit: FT 34-5 & all the kiwis giving Norton a hug. And now some words & a NZ jumper presentation by Dickson. Obviously done at very short notice so a bit rushed but a nice gesture nevertheless.

Cup SF1 HT Fiji 24-0 Samoa

FT 45-5. Even allowing for Samoa only have ten fit players it's gunna take something very, very special to beat Fiji.

SF2 HT Arg 12-12 Aus

Edit: Aus decision to take a tap penalty 10m from their own line backfires big time. Gunna get worse when Malouf gets binned for that high shot. Arg 24-12, 1:38 on the clock. Another Arg penalty, they'll take the scrum & use up most of the last minute.

FT Arg 24-12 Aus.

Argentina a bit too good and ball didn’t quite bounce our way, can happen in 7’s. One of their players has serious wheels. Good tournament none the less.

Oz v Kiwis game.

Thanks for Sharing - gees Toole would have to be rated worlds best sevens player at the moment as so elusive and turn of speed. Pity oz team could not go on with it against Argentina but pretty tight between top 6 sides that any team could win on the day. Fiji started slow but now also looking very good

Great come from behind win in the 16th minute to take bronze. Pressure conversion by Longbottom to take the victory over Samoa 21-19 !
Nice - just looking at players stats - Cory leading most tries and offloads. Wonder what sort of contract on as deserves to be one of our best paid sevens players

Argentina destroys Fiji in the final.

Marcos Moneta the best in the game right now.

Argentina restarts are perfect - so important in 7s.

On the current ladder yes, SA 111 Arg 105, Aus 100 but don't forget that the two worst Series performances don't count so on that basis SA are actually further in front:

1. SA 88 (111)
2. Arg 75 (105) -13 (-6)
3. Aus 72 (100) -16 (-11)
4. Fiji 64 (65) -24 (-46)
5. USA 56 (70) -32 (-41)
6. Ire 51 (69) -37 (-42)

Unless SA miss a Leg I don't think they can be caught even if they don't win another one.
