Well that is close to season over now. Tahs need to recruit big for next year with so many players leaving and possibly more to go.

They'll have the wage budget, but who is there to recruit? they arent even allowed to get a few foreign talents as no marquee signings anymore.
They'll basically have to shop around in Europe for Aussie players.

Can't use that excuse every year. Other teams can attract talent but not the Tahs.
Whose fault is that??
Tahs have plenty of decent players but lack the head coach to go anywhere.
The Brumbies have the right idea recruiting big forwards but Gibson hates that thought.
The recruitment strategies need to be addressed but that went out the window when Gibson was kept.

KB (Kurtley Beale) very lucky not to have a YC for his woeful attempt on the Jaguares winger. Had he actually managed to put the winger into touch, I'd expect it would have been a penalty try and YC.
Who actually enhanced their chances for a Wallabies spot? Not Hooper - he's already there and didn't harm his chances at all. Not Foley - I thought the young Jaguares' No 10 outshone him tonight. Not Kepu - doesn't have the 80 minute effort required to oust either AAT or Thor, and still gives away penalties and lost ball in contact. Not Rob Simmons nor Hanigan - must be the weakest second row duo in the whole competition. Certainly not Beale - little challenge to the defense tonight, lost balls in tackles, game changing missed tackles. I don't think anyone really did their chances any good.

Hanigan and Foley played pretty well i thought. Agree about Beales defence though. I remember him going toe to toe with SBW in Dunedin two years ago and coming out on top. Is it the case that he can defend but just refuses to?

Well that’s not a surprising post from you. Hanigan was good and Simmons wasn’t bad either. Foley didn’t do anything to harm his chances. You just constantly look for reasons to pick anyone but a Tah.
You do realise the Jaguares have never lost in Aus and are leading their conference?

Very disappointing, although not as bad as BR would suggest, who sounds like a politician talking about his opposition every time he mentions that Tahs or anyone associated with them, gets a bit tiresome.
I think one of the big disappointments this year has been Foley, he realis offering very little. I thought Beale was generally pretty good with the exception of that disgraceful tackle attempt, certainly the Tahs most effective strike weapon. I thought Hanigan was good, continually crossed the advantage line on his carries, got through plenty of tackles and was huge in the lineouts. Not suggesting he should be the Wallaby 6, but he's been a lot better this year. Also thought Robertson played very well. He scrummages way above his weight.
Tahs are missing the strike power of Nayaravaro and Folau from last year, apart from that not much is different. Lazy penalties, poor ball retention and a weak kicking game continue to haunt them.

Hey don't blame me - it was mobile predictive text who changed word 'toilers' to toiltets.
Can't help it if mobile predictive text has it against the Tahs….was thinking I should turn of predictive text on my mobile but given how many extra posts it got for a pretty quiet thread maybe should let it go for giggles...
