I'm not sure if you have seen Drua play many games, as thay did a Cibi before them in early games, and both them and MP (Moana Pasifika) (Moana Pasifika) did one when they played. But BH right it was for cultural round. Also Blues did one for Moana Pasifika before their game.
I actually quite liked in the cultural round where the welcome to the country involved the 'smoking ceremony' (apologies as I don't know correct name) that involved players in a small way.
You're right, I haven't seen many MP (Moana Pasifika) or Drua games and when I watched them play the Tahs I skipped the pre-game stuff.

I agree, the cultural round was good, and I had a mental dislocation and forgot about it when I saw the video.

Al good, just ignore me and carry on :)

Hell mate, we would never ignore you. And I never thought you were complaining anyway, so was always all good!!

Got to say after a critic of final 8 I actually think it has worked here this season to keep some intrigue and interest, as now still got final game of rebels vs highlanders to decide the final 8. Ok I accept maybe got it wrong and maybe this final 8 worth persisting with for the moment.

Although it still highlights the depth disparity between the countries.

Kiwi teams able to roll out 3rd string teams and still be competitive. Aussie teams lose 2 or 3 blokes to injury and the wheels can fall off.
Most sides are running diminished sides by this time of the year, either by injury or contractual rest or rotation

On the crossover records and their impact on momentum, a continuation of the Waratahs/Blues pre-match discussion thread.

The data.

BLU @ 6-0 (WWWWWW)
CRU @ 5-1 (WLWWWW)
CHI @ 5-1 (WWLWWW)
BRU @ 3:3 (WWWLLL)
HUR @ 4:2 (WLWWWL)
WAR @ 3:3 (LWWLWL)
RED @ 1-5 (LLLLWL)
HIG @ 3-3 (LWWWLL)

Utilising dimensionality reduction techniques to construct a gif based typology of records vis-à-vis momentum into the elimination stage.

Count me as one of the fans who has been completely dis-absorbed of Super in the absence of a domestic champion and the predictable results from a non-level playing field between NZ and Aus. Initially I wouldn't miss any Aus rugby match and spent time agonising the GGR team of the week. Since the TT period I watch the Reds only with some despondency. Any opinion I have on the TOTW these days has no value as I just don't see what is going on other than the reports and the discussion.

But have to say this article by Brett McKay cheered me up, albeit probably only a temporary measure.

Hell, stranger things have happened and it is knock out rugby. Let's go Australia. And Drua. And MP (Moana Pasifika). See what you can do for me. Rennie is watching and right now is where thoughts on WB selections will solidify. Let's go boys!

Bring on finals footy. :)

No idea which thread to put this in but listened to the western force focused podcast today with Tim Anstee he let it slip that the clubs are looking at playing each other later in the year and on a different note the Force are also looking at touring Japan, I presume other clubs will be looking at doing the same. So hopefully even more rugby to come this year

Yeah apparently planning a Super Rugby ‘A’ tournament minus wallabies later this year when NRC would have taken place.
Throw in Australia A and the pathways are slightly improving again after been butchered thanks to COVID.

Cool I suggested the super rugby sides minus the wallabies playing each other as our next nrc was the ideal so excited to hear this is potentially happening. Assume would include drua as per my previous desire. Tahs to play out of leichardt for this super rugby a nrc series please is also part of the wish.
