I disagree Harrison has actually slipped down the pecking order, he's just been off the radar because he spent most of 2022 injured.
I've said it before, but those singing the praises of Carter Gordon have obviously seen a lot more of him than me, but all I've seen one really good game with the Rebels and several that were no more than okay. Not saying he hasn't got it, but certainly would be behind Edmed and Donaldson at this point.

There are a number of Wallaby squad members playing club rugby this weekend in Brisbane. It would be odd if Gleeson didn't get any time for his club I reckon.

Yeah he could be, although the guys that are playing are those who haven’t been in the 23s right. Shute Shield team transparency is awful so who knows.

Yeh that is right, my theory is the guys having a run could play next weekend, so maybe Langi is getting a rest.

I still think Harrison is the most talented of the three. How he comes back next year from a pretty brutal injury will be crucial.

Agree BH, my only concern about Harrison is his size but he ain't short of balls. I prefer a tall 10 but that might have just been the Larkham influence.

he had a finger injury when the Aus A program was selected - I have him ahead of Donaldson/Edmed because he has a better package of skillsets.

Will be interesting to see if he is selected for the next Aus A tour if healthy and one of the tahs kids gets dropped out because of him.

I'm with you on Carter Gordon. He seems that all the basics are there in terms of organisation of the BL, his D and his kicking game is pretty good. We'll never know if he doesn't get a go. At the moment he seems to be completely out of contention for either W or Wa's.
His future like many 10's depends on how Super Rugby season goes. If his pack is beaten regularly then his chances are slim regardless of how well he handles playing behind a poor pack.

Who knows what the selectors think about Gordon but he didn't seem to have a great season at the Rebels this year as they often picked Matt T (who many would agree is out of position at 10). His form in 2023 and 2024 will probably be the most relevant as you would think in 2024 we will have moved on from JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor), Quade Cooper, BF and Reece H as options as our No 10. Carter Gordon should be focused on 2024.

Disagree, with our 10 stocks as poor as they are we need all irons in the fire and see which is best. We can afford to be sitting on our arses and hoping a 10 turns up. We need to find a couple and quickly. We are running out of old players to band-aid the situation. QC (Quade Cooper) excepted.

I'd put Nic White in the same spot on the weekend. We need more from him particularly with the absence of Hooper.

Agree strongly with this sentiment. Reliable service yes but no spark and at times slow. I think both Gordon and McDermott have more strings to the bow at this point of time which would apply more pressure to defences.

I watched a few Kubota games. Malcolm Marx is there as well as Foley. Foley looks good. Not sure his defence has improved but the rest of his game looks sharp. Marx does not seem to dominate so I assume the standard is very good.

I think Tate is comfortably behind White in any discussion. He’s so talented yet needs to improve on a lot to be test match standard. His passing and kicking are the worst of the 3 contenders but we know he could/should eventually end up a better player than both Gordon and White. His ability to only be able to play at one speed will also go against him. I wouldn’t want to lose him and see him go overseas but he could do with a season or two in Europe where the game isn’t all about speed.

I just can’t believe he hasn’t learned to reel in the lip yet. We can’t afford to be penalised for it every other game.
