The game was decided - like the previous 2 - in the breakdown. Boks did not show up. Why? I have no idea.

No way can anyone say "we muscled up" because there was nothing to muscle up to. Kiwis will smash this lot into yesterday.

We can expect a whole different level of play from the ABs, so we should be under no illusions that this is anything but a good start. But it was a good start. The most hopeful thing for me was the steel in the defence for the most part. Good commitment there.

Pocock needs to relax his passion giving away to many penalties that are blatant. Going to need to improve for Melbourne, he was lucky not to get carded. I understand that Openside Flankers are meant to be playing right on the edge of the law but he gave away 4 or so penalties today.

Genia was immense, as was Fainga'a and Sharpe. Giteau impressed me too, hopefully he's back to his best.

Wallabies are now ranked #2 in the world.

As for Quade he could very well be cited.
