Is Locky O'Rourke the GT 16A or 1st XV #10?. I was very impressed by the GT #10 in the first XV and could understand him getting chosen, but if that wasn't him who was it and is he U16?

Also not sure about Alex West as 14. He's got runs on the board but he's not playing 1st XV and the two wingers for Churchie are both grade 11. Monty Ioane is one, and I think Dean Van Heteran Swemmer is the other? not 100% sure but if he is U16 why hasn't his name been considered. I thought he was much more solid than Monty on the 3 occasions I have seen them play together.

I'd give Tuttle (IC) a good chance for GPS 1 if not QLD 1 Opens. He seems the standout in that position in the GPS comp and from what I've seen he will be hard to match. I'm not one to talk up Nudgee boys chances but he is one I was really impressed by. Perhaps expect a few more BSHS/Padua players in the team, they seem to go for the top of the table teams in selection.

Monty Ioane and Dean Van Heteran Swemmer are both 17 this year but in grade 11, and no, neither of them repeated. Monty should have been in GPS 1.

If that's what you believe Will,

I too am a supporter of him, but on the occasions I have seen Monty play he hasn't been up to Qld standard and I think the selectors know that. With a bit more development he will be a star but for now he's more a case of potential rather than a complete player. He would be satisfactory in a GPS 1 jersey but I think there are more deserving wingers.. Monty will be a force next year so keep your hopes up for 2012, he's already missed selection this year so there's no point disputing the decisions.

You must rememeber AIC use GPS schools to Trail all potential 1st Players, so his includes 2nds and 16A-B-C players so hence why score lines sometimes blow out, I think AIC is a lot closer to GPS than we all think.

marist are only going so well this season cuz the lack players in firsts, the likes of padua or eddies or even iona who have 5 or more players in firsts means there 16a's arent as good

The lauries halfback by the name of Damon Bingham is playing very well this season. His precise box kicking, accurate passes and ability to make something out of nothing should get him into the team. I have been told that he suffered injury earlier this season and has only recently come back. So not many people would of seen but i assure you if you watch this kid play you will see just why he is regarded as possibley the best under16's Aic Halfback. I know i certainly regard him as the best Under16 halfback throughout all of the competitions
he better have improved out of site, last time i saw him the state high reserve halfback was better than him

very similar to how we trial, many players end up to be 2nds and 3rd, and 16a's majority of the normal team is rested, and massive score is still a occurance

There is no comparison between AIC and GPS. There might be the occasional AIC player/team who can compete with the GPS boys, but very rarely. Terrace would get up over most AIC schools this year, and that's really saying something.

I don't think you can say that GTjack. Terrace have had a poor year and have produced only one quality performance all season. The AIC competition isn't too far away in terms of quality and I could see one or two of the stronger teams upsetting GT and possibly TGS. I think the only fair comparison you could make is that the GPS' worst team (GT) would beat AIC's worst team, in terms of the top of the ladder comparison, it's non existent. GPS by a country mile

hence why I say most, i could easily see a loss to Ashgrove. TGS would most likely still win, the difference between them and terrace is quite large

No they wouldnt. If results are anything to go by, St Laurences defeated a full strength BBC team 42-23 in a trial earlier this year. Now lauries came 2nd last this year in the AIC competition. BBC defeated Terrace this year 30-15. Go figure

perhaps, if lauries played bbc in an actual competition game the score would be in favour of bbc. AIC isn't close to GPS at all...

this isn't to say there aren't quality AIC players, there really is no standout under 16 halfback in the GPS this year

I certainly see a huge significant improvement from him, the trial game against BBC was a standout performance from the no.9 Damon Bingham

Agreed gtjack there is standout qaulity players in AIC but not as a whole compared to GPS. Id have to say the most prominant halfbacks in GPS: Jack Martin, Michael siaki, AIC halfbacks: Damon Bingham, St Edwards no.9.

Does anyone know who the coaches are of the red and white side as this will have a big infulence on player selection
