mate youve gotta take a look at guys playing firsts in gps not just 16as
i assure you lakhem aiono wont be there due to season ending injury
bbc's hooker, prop
grammars 6 and 11
toowoombas winger and flanker and plenty more
you have chosen many players who are still playing 16s at their school over guys already playing firsts

fourgreatkids I agree with the grammar hooker, however Benroy Sala is regarded as one of the top props and is better then Dan Anae.
You should also rethink about how it is a top 22, not a list of good players..
lunchboxhero good team, few adjustments need to be made
also brad wilkins would be in the group but I'd rather stick to GPS players.

Logan Tibbetts will have a crack at this team, he has been consistently good since he moved to the wing from the flyhalf.

In saying this, you should also take into consideration that maybe the 16s who aren't quite playing at firsts level could be better than their counterparts at other schools, but it'd be hard to beat their peers who are at an age or two above. Take benroy sala for example, great player and probably one of the top props within the 16s age group, but is easily overshadowed by his older peers and may not get firsts game time, whereas the likes of dan anae and nick anderson would have higher chances at playing at the top level for their respective schools.
but do you not agree that this exposure to the open level will bring these players to become better off, dealing with the increased level of physicallity and skill? compared to what is a rather weak u16s competition? i think those players in 1sts must certainly be considered cause no matter what school, playing 1st XV requires a whole lot more.

"Brad Wilkins would be the 7"
Whilst he is a good player and extremely fit and can run with the ball I do not see him in the team over guys like Henry Fitzgerald (NC) and Adam Korzyk (StateHigh)

fourgreatkids, some schools are harder then others to make firsts look at GT beaten 80 - 0 every weekend according to the couriermail; doesn't prove that playing up a grade makes you better.. playing good rugby makes you better

this is true but why have you put more players from schools like gt, bbc and tss whose firsts are not having as successful years as school like bgs or tgs or igs and from the sounds of it, have an equal, if not more amount of players playing firsts?

BGS firsts could win every game, doesn't mean they have the best prop; he'd have to be good but not necessarily the best. And they're are plenty of IGS players in the team listed, (Dan preene, Latham) also they have another flanker I believe playing in the firsts by the name of Connor who should also be looked at, also my team was practically compiled together by using the players from several other teams mentioned.
TGS also don't have many quality players in the 16's age group.

Aaron Pleash (loosehead) and Conor Mulheron (7) both from Ippy and both playing firsts should get a look in. Also Landon Hayes, has been playing 11 for Ippy firsts but is normally a 12. Braedon Hood (6) from BBC in the mix as well.
