i tend to agree but i sort of thought Nonu was the best centre on the field tonight....weird i know. ???

Not in the least. He was excellent. He made his own try with the switch, and played the right game when he got the ball. Carter didn't.

BBBT should channel his unner (suc...) Futzy and let the backs know that getting the ball is like some hair-boy taking out your teenage daughter; if it doesn't come back safe, sound and as it left, there won't be a second date. And there will be some major explaining to do.

Mate with some of the calls tonight, they should have been a little happy.

One rule I'm not sure off. Is number 7 aloud to disconnect from the srcum and rejoin. Then concede a penalty... Or is it only a rule if your wearing a black jersey it's fine.

One thing I've only noticed about Kev recently is that he is regularly slow to come back onside and often gets in the way opposite's HB. He got pinged tonight and would be well advised to be wary of this in the future.

Can I also say that with a different ref, at a different ground, and with a couple of different selections the AB probably would have beat us tonight. They are still favourites, especially at eden park.

It wasn't a different ref, it wasn't a different stadium, and it was the team that Henry selected. It was what it was and we won. End of story.

Great win for the WBs, so needed a punishing backrower in the Samo build... what difference he made as well as the rest of the forward pack!

The centre pairing looked great defensively, however thought they were outplayed by their counterparts, but this was easily accounted for by Beale, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) & Ioane.

Genia was immense... and is quickly growing into one of the best hb ever.... Quade, well the knee to McCaw head shows he is yet to grow up....

While the ABs had the chances, the WBs took theirs and looked to out-AB the ABs, in a sense. So well done to them.

ABs, well do you expect when you consistently change your wingers and loosies since the Tri-Nat started. Anyhoo.

Really missed Sivi 2nite, not only his experience but that he also became a prominent as first reciever during the later parts of the game and was often effective...

Agree with Cowan 2 start and Piri to finish, just the frenzy of Cowan then the rugged of Piri are better suited... though Ellis looked quite polished 2nite however like Messam just not rough around the edges for me...

Perhaps Dagg, Jane & Toeava should start to assemble as new world order, and i think let them each swap into the fullback role as whoever is closest in a type manner....

But all round great onthe edge of your seat type game!!

Awesome

p.s. WBarnes has matured his refereeing... be good also to see him in S15 and SH permanently!!

But I bet Henry wished he had sbw on the bench. There was a lot of shoveling going on in the ab backline.

Nonu and Smith were two of the ABs best players so I'm not sure that replacing one of them would have improved things.

I wonder how serious the injuries to Kieran Read and Adam Thomson were?

Vickers looked in trouble for a little bit but apart from that it looked like the Wallabies escaped relatively unscathed.

First half was the best ever by a Wallaby team. ABs responded with a disciplined first 20 minutes resulting in a 21 phase try. If these 2 teams don't meet in the final of the RWC then the tournament will be a miss. Doesn't matter who wins if we get a game like tonight.

Wooooohoooooo well done Wallabies! The most comprehensive first half I've sen in a long time. Samo was superb but my MOM was Moore for his constant hit ups at the breakdown. Would have given it to Genia but his box-kicks were poor. Love the attitude from the Wallaby forward pack and it shows us the only way to win is by confronting our opposition. Disappointed with QCs knee but came after an earlier altercation. Those 2 hate each other without a doubt.

From a reffing point of view it was a good flowing game albeit with one or two puzzling decisions, however the Fox team kept pointing out the AB's in front of the last feet at the breakdown.....never noticed this much before...but could definitely see it when pointed out, however were the Wobs doing the same and also getting away with it?

Adequate, but with a couple of options (ie crazy passes) that could have really gone wrong.

I'm not complaining for the moment.
