To be fair... Kingston's try shouldn't have been allowed after what was a pretty obvious knock foward by Pretorius...

Therefore... shit happens...
Ignoring the irony of Slim's caveat against complaining about ref decisions, I doubt the Tahs would have won even if that try was awarded. They looked like they were shutting the game down from 1 point behind anyway, and showed no urgency to play any footy to win it. It honestly would have been undeserved. So shitted off with the Tahs.

It's only week 4...

Way too early for teams to be slinging up the noose or patting each other on the back...

Nope Slim, Tahs gone for 2012. More than happy to eat humble pie if the Tahs make the final, more than happy for Tahs fans to post this very quote & bag me for it.

Like I said, normally wouldn't call it this early but for this team I'm prepared to make this an exception.

I don't think there's any irony there at all...

They were in deep trouble the moment Halangahu was given the 10 jersey and named captain...

I think there are changes/improvements that can be made to this team... but if they don't happen soon then they will be stuffed...

True, true. It's clear Foley has a lot of faith in Hangers & is prepared to give him repeat chances, will be interesting to see if he retains his spot next week.

Well they better find something. Sorry to fans of the other sides but i really only see the Tahs and Reds with a squad to make the finals. If we only get one side there it will be very sad. So far though the kiwis certainly deserve to have a few sides make it.Long way to go and definitely not willing to write off the Tahs yet.

I would actually keep hangers to start at ten. Barnes to 15, Carter to 12 then bring Foley on for hangers after 50 or so for his broken field running,

I'm with AngrySeahorse #115, the kicking is driving me to despair.

I'm a massive Barnes fan & like most armchair critics couldn't understand why the Wallabies' selectors didn't start him at 12 during the WC finals. At times he threw some beaut balls tonight. However, if he watches the replay (Foley will have to submit the whole team to that torture), Barnes will be gutted at the kick which led to the turnover of possession in the lead up to what transpired to be the match winning try by Wara.

The Force just wanted it so much more-Congrats. Simply being the best bonus points collectors ain't going to cut the mustard for finals aspirations.

Need to see a massive lift in intensity for the remainder of the season. Otherwise, pass the shards of the glass.

I heard the Boo's at the end and for a brief moment there I almost felt sorry for the waratahs. Almost.

The boos are a disgrace, it usually comes from the people that make no other noise anyway. If the feel they have the right t do it fine, but I would like to see them try to earn that right by being loud and trying to inspire the team for the 80 minutes before they do it.

It would require the team to first inspire the crowd to want to do something. Chicken and the egg. The Tahs have to face FACTS, they have underperformed for so long and served up rubbish like they did tonight on so many occassions even the most loyal fans are fatigued so that they now are ready prepared to lash out at the team even if they do not know it. When Foley gave the interview dribbling the same old excuses we saw from Hickey last year I would have sworn and waved at him with single finger if the wife and kids hadn't been in earshot/view.

Foley might want to start scanning the job ads - a few more losses like tonight and the wise monkeys that make up the board of the Waratahs will be looking for another scapegoat....

Won't happen unless the board itself is sacked, which given the crowd turnout and the likely crowd turnout from here on in after performances like that may not be as unlikely as it sounds. I am surprised that nobody has really commented on the very poor turnout. It is too easy to blame it all on the rain.
