I am actually happy that see the back of RG and hopefully we now get a good coach to develop the boys. Im not to worried, i would be if i was a QLDer as he will distroy any hope of you guys winning another Title. Have fun kicking the ball away. You thought deans was bad to QC (Quade Cooper) and Genia at the WC wait till RG gets his hands on them!

Maybe this is the reboot that has been required. Relaunch of Western Force v2.0

Doesn't bode well for remainder of 2012 having a lame duck coach.

Been thinking the same sort of thing. Sometimes out of a shit situation you lay the foundation for future success. Wouldn't be the first time.

Vern Reid saying Aussie coach preferred but looking abroad also. Who from Australia would you pick to coach the Force?

He also stated he's ask Pocock & other senior players for suggestions into what coach they would like. He didn't sound concerned about losing Pocock. Those signs are encouraging.

Going by a lot of the comments from the Force fans on the Force threads I don't think I'd see RG's departure as a tragedy. Not even the timing is bad, for mine this gives the force more time to go about getting someone else. The Force are not in contention for the finals so the timing hasn't destroyed a finals berth or anything.

If anything the fans that should be concerned are the Reds fans. I'd be spewing if he was coming to coach my team, given the bad reviews he's got on here & what has happened to the Force the last couple of years.

I have never been more simultaneously: gobsmacked, staggered, concerned, upset - and just fearful for the Reds (including massive distraction this crucial S15 year) in all my years of enjoying rugby.

Force ripped the heart out off QLD RUGBY when franchise started. Now its QLD turn to get back what been taken from them, and there all slowly want to come back..:) .

I didn't see this coming at all. But I will always have the utmost respect for LINK, it has been a hard gig spending so much time away from his family, flying in and out nearly every week and the time he has off.... All the Best to him and hope he fucks off that Kiwi Aus coach, because for what he has bought into the REDS the Wallabies need and need quickly for this year Wallabies Tour....

Looks the the REDS will need to send Ewin out with another SUPER 15 GF win, and what better motivation....

Oh wouldn't it be sweet revenge if Tthe Force captain left to move to Queensland ripping the heart out of the organisation as he left.

Fuck that, I don't want Pocock at the Reds for the sake of Australian rugby.

I additionally don't want Graham at the Reds for the sake of Queensland rugby.

Sounds like a win for the Force to get rid of him and a losing situation for the Reds to gain him.

Not unhappy to see RG go but more concerned about the implications for retaining players and attracting players to Perth if the Force is viewed as unstable. It's imperative that the Force attract a well credentialed coach that people want to play for and that Pocock is signed up long term. The Brumbies have shown you can turn it around quickly if you have a good coach in place. I'm not sure that the Reds are getting the best deal out of this.

Very hard to think of anyone in OZ at the moment, especially anyone with experience. I like the idea of a battle hardened coach taking a bunch of youngsters and developing them, so maybe a bloke like Cheika (as mentioned upthread) could be lured back. I'm not sure who else really. Alan Gaffney maybe? Tim Lane?
