i think Shipperly earned another selection. I wouldn't put mitchell back in ahead of him, despite everyone else thinking Mitchell is a superstar
If JOC (James O'Connor) is available and ready he has to start, so Ship shouldn't. Ships was OK, nothing fantastic, competent would be my most florid complement
The same with McCabe, either Barnes is benched or Beale (with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) going to 15 & McCabe to 13)

If JOC (James O'Connor) is fit he should come on for Beale. I don't see how anyone can allow Beale to continue to start not only has his running game gone out the window, but he fails to execute a proper kick!

Cooper missed plenty of tackles last night. I think his goalkicking will keep Barnes in the starting side. He'll just be lectured on general play kicking.

JOC (James O'Connor) is a fine defender. Not like the Argies are some powerhouse attacking force. They really don't have anything he hasn't dealt with before.
Regardless, until we have a kicker who can match Barnes he has to stay in the team. If JOC (James O'Connor) is fit I expect he'll come onto the wing for Shipperly who was fine, but nothing special.

He may be good but we don't really know how he will come back. Just look at Beale who is still struggling with fitness and form. Too drop Shipperley to bring JOC (James O'Connor) straight back could be risky and is not really ne cessary. Bring him back for Beale if anything. Two unfit, out of form backs will be too many.

I don't remember cooper doing it in his 22 at all. One in the opposition 22 that was on but badly executed. I think it was Barnes and Beale doing all the kicking in our own half. Seemed to be a tactic though so might not be fair to blame them?
Barnes' worst moment was in the first half and he had an unmarked AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) outside of him but threw him a forward pass. That ball goes to hand and we had a 50/50 chance to score a try.

If JOC (James O'Connor) played inside centre it wouldn't matter that he is less of a tackler then Barnes, simply because JOC (James O'Connor) doesn't kick the ball away and give opposition the chance to attack.

Spot on. We can't keep carrying guys that are out of form just because they used to be good. Beale is problem number one. If anyone goes it must be him. I don't want to move AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) again so we either bring JOC (James O'Connor) or Morahan into 15. Both could add real value.
If JOC (James O'Connor) comes in and is ready to take the kicking duties then swap Barnes for Taps. If not then Harris is the obvious replacement for Barnes. He is just as good a place kicker and defender but a stronger runner. I doubt he would lower the standard of our backline.

You have a good point there ILTW. The benefits are that McCabe knows how to play 15, and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) knows how to play 13. It's not like we would be throwing them into unfamiliar positions.
McCabe at 15 could also abate some of the kicking nonsense we are seeing. As he doesn't believe in kicking the ball, we would see a fullback running kamikaze style into opposition defences from a kick return. The sight of a 2011 spec McCabe playing 15 for the Brumbies and ploughing into opposition defence was a sight to behold.
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is good at 13. Although he rarely passes, he does straighten the attack. He also makes excellent defensive reads from 13. Just what you want.

Really? I'm not as pissed off about poor execution. Sometimes you throw shit passes. It happens.
Chip kicks 20 metres out from your own line, however, is just monumentally stupid and in my team would be cause for exclusion from the side until the player gets it. I don't know where Barnes picked up that idea, you wouldn't do it in rugby league either.
EDIT: it seems like the chips are an instruction from above. If so, things are worse than we thought and Dingo is altogether out of ideas.
Chip kicks in your half, nevermind your own 22, have no place in rugby football at test level. End of story. The only reason I qualify that with "at test level" is that I don't give a fuck what Colleagues 4th grade do on saturday morning.

The Men in Gold follow the "instructions" and kick the pill away with gay abandon in the first half.
This then allows Dingo to get on his high horse for the Oranges Interview with Foxtel, delivering a pre-scripted statement that he is upset with the "dribbly little grubber kicks".
In the Second half, the aforesaid dribbly little grubber kicks stop and the Men in Gold actually get some front foot quick ruck ball and hey presto Dingo is presented to the non-Tin Foil Hat brigade as a great leader/coach for his ability to change the game plan and display positive leadership.
Job Done. Career saved (for now).

I thought it was shit house. I took a work mate who is a dyed in the wool AFL guy to his first rugby game, and was extolling the virtues of how great a rugby crowd atmosphere is.
As the Boks went down the race and everyone booed them he looked at me and said "at least in AFL the crowd doesn't boo the loosing team".
