Out of interest, did B Hollis from Auggies trial for hooker at ISA as I don't recall him been present.[/quote]

he was there

An Oakhill vs Pats. Because of the quality of the Pats grounds, many games were played at Oakhill and in my game, first try was a knock on (Oakhill ref called it a try) and then both teams scored 1 and Pats then scored an equaliser and was called a , yes wait for it, "DOUBLE MOVEMENT". I would also like to make a complaint about the amount of langauge from an Oakhill parent as i was trying to play Wing and couldnt concentrate due to the various amounts of , shall we say, 'language' this parent was using.
With a single round comp a missed game is a good as a loss. I would guess the schools are keen to continue to accrue points. You'll have to hope the home away years have been swapped as three years running at Oaks would be tough

What is the story - has it been raining in Sydney? or...

Saturday was a wonderful day, but it rained fairly heavily on all day Thursday and 30-40 mm overnight on Friday/Saturday.

Lots of games postponed to protect the ovals.

Welcome to gaggerland magnesie.

That team could "fly", although FWIW St Pats have apparently inside information that Markus, Taweel, and Angeliozzo were in the II's and Edwards was in ISA I's.

I wonder how accurate their information is.

If nothing else you have confirmed that Kagliassis is a #10.

Only 9 more unknown positions to be confirmed.

Preferred positions for these lads?
St. Augustine's College
S Halaifonua - Loose Forward
J Parker - #8
B Fontaine - Wing/Fullback
M Osborn - ?

St Gregorys
A Massima - Prop
C Kagliassis - #10
D Green - Back
J Faavae-Eli - #9

St Stanislaus'
J Melville - ?
C Burke - ?

Usually reliable snout reckons that these are the positions of the "unpositioned".

Green from Gregs - what sort of back
Osborn from Auggies - ?
Melville from Stannies - ?
Burke from Stannies - ?

Cook has been playing very well in the trials, a standout in the auggies team. Edwards would have had to have been playing very well to outshine Cook, considering his position in ISA I and NSW Schoolboys last year.

Osborn from Auggies is a loosehead prop who played in the 3rd XV last year. Quite a meteoric climb to the top. I would have him pegged most likely off the bench or maybe in the 2nds. It leaves a lot to question that a player from a 2012 3rd grade team is better than front rowers in there second year of 1st XV who were trialing?

Melville is a 2nd row from Stannies. Big fella with a lot of enthusiasm. Would have him in the 2's.

It is observations like this why I question the accuracy of the announcement by St Pats that Edwards has been confirmed in ISA I and the others (Taweel, Markus and PJ) are in ISA II.

Mind you we could be seeing a situation where the selectors have gone for combinations and may be prepared to have I standard players in the II's team for holistic reasons. There was a similar situation in NSW Schools in 2009 or 2010.

Stab in the dak that Burke from Stamnies is a fly half, as there was a decent Stannies 5/8 at trials and there seems to be deficiencies in the inside back region.

Fairly confident but need confirmation.

Loucentre I find it hard to believe that a 2012 3rds player from any school would be in the ISA squad. How do you know what team Osborn was in?
