It is not a good idea to ignore the Moderator's advice if you intend to be around here for a while.

Uncle Lee can get real cranky before he has walked the dogs and settled down in front of the Foxtel with a nice cream sherry to watch some Euro rugby.

Anon.... The only time Chuck Norris ever lost an argument was when he was stared down by Lee Grant. Chuck ran away, so at your peril there sunshine :) :) :)
And... Get it right HJ, it is now called Apera in Australia. Also Uncle Lee prefers the Oloroso

A Totally Hilarious Little Entertaining Topic Inserted Clearly Surreptitiously.

It would appear that the TSC 1st XV are travelling to Qld this weekend for a trial match against TSS. No passport required this time. Lucky it wasn't against Toowoomba Grammar.

Given the disjointed prep that aths presents, I think View will be looking fir a good performance to build cohesion, and Auggues will see this as a GF.
Brainstrust your better than that. What a churlish statement. Auggies prep, 1 Waratah shield game in the last 4 weeks about level with SIC prep. Ive never known a school 1st XV not trying to win.
Sorry, you have misunderstood me. I gave no doubt that Riverview will try to win.

My point is more along the lines that I know some of the Auggies boys and they really covet taking a GPS scalp, so they will be very pumped. Riverview will certainly be playing to win, but it's realistically their first sanctioned hit out with the aths boys playing, and therefore they are still sorting out a couple of positions. No doubt they will give it 100% and there won't be any excuses either way.

They sure do.
Have seen them playing club but i assume nothing is lost in the translation - the one I have seen the most of (who played NSW U16s in 2013) is head and shoulders the best player in U16's in Sydney based on what I have seen.

What are the centres names?

It's a Schoolboy trial!
Do you really think that
a) the opposition coach would recognise most of the names
b) He would devise different tactics in this trial depending on their starting line up?

It might have very little impact on the game, however in my opinion it is a bit disrespectful to the boys, coaching staff etc. who would wish this information remain a secret. It's a matter of principle. It'd be interesting to see how the boys at Riverview react to aka's post. socks out for the boys?

I think it's more about the principle as stated by dr abs. I know this may not be an issue at the moment as it still is trials, but as the gps season progresses, coaches
are not going to want their team posted so early in the week as it will enable opposing coaches to change their tactics. This has been a problem in recent years , with coaches approaching known g&g authors telling them to refrain from providing other schools with their teams information. It may only be school sport, but it is still taken seriously

@Anonymous_, what part of the English language do you struggle with?

I commend you to read post #834 above.

To help you find that reference, I have copied that post below.

Hey tough guy ease up I replied from an earlier post before I'd read that. My mistake, it is a forum not a court of law!

I reckon there is plenty of opportunities for leaks between these schools on various levels, though it would appear the think is getting a little excited. Both coaches and or their support staff have school boy rep connections and would be very aware of several or in excess of more than a handful of players on the opposition

Reeeeaaaaalllllllllyyyyyy??????????
You have been approached to NOT post teams on G & G R? Wow!
I had best tell certain selectors to not communicate with each other so as the AAGPS can select a team ONLY after round 2. How do I get to this level of importance please?
Have you thought about helping out in world domination?
The only people that are being kept in the dark are the kids at school here, to add to the theatre of it all.

See from the results above there is a big % of Catholics on here. View strong side but unbackable favourites what are you guys smokin?

Mate you got off lightly without being carded for Post #1 but making assumptions and raising religion is probably not the best idea you've ever had.
