The whole premise of the game is the appeal to the lowest common denominator, but when the lowest common denominator presents itself, they turn on it.

Fair dinkum hypocrites.

Still there are plenty of others who will no doubt continue the traditions set by their predecessors in the game with respect to their treatment of women, attitude towards alcohol, location to perform bowel movements and other bodily functions, love of animals, observance of the road rules, and general anti-social boganistic behaviours.

Saw the Todd photo. Gross, but still not something a person should be sacked over.

If Bear Grylls can drink his piss & everyone be cool with it then I don't see why Carney is any different. And don't tell me Bear does it in a "survival situation" those episodes are as choreographed as the Ballet (& yes I know they can't be real survival situations for safety reasons but point is he doesn't need to drink his pee).

Don't Worry, Carney will be back playing soon enough. Just not for the Sharks, Raiders or Roosters.

getting a photo taken of him holding his knob is probably more likely to get him sacked that him drinking his own piss.

Todd Carney pissing in his own mouth is the perfect metaphor for Todd Carney.

But how the fuck did it end up on Instagram?

So his manager, former league player David Riolo is complaining that he's been sacked unfairly and that the photo is kind of like a tourist snap of the leaning tower of Pisa. Presumably by that he means that Carney was only trying to make it look like he was pissing in his own mouth.

I think he's missing the point personally. I'm really not sure that makes it much better.

Why shouldn't he be sacked?

As far as inappropriate behaviour is concerned, it's hard to find something more distasteful that isn't criminal.

Why should an employer put up with any employee behaving like that?

Probably not the type of thing a player who has never stepped out of line previously should get sacked for. For a player who has been sacked from 2 clubs already and was already told he needed to shape up or ship out, different story.

Rugby banter is claiming that there is a rumour going round that Greg Inglis is looking to make the move the union very interesting he is a bit old but would make a great 13 IMO.

Or maybe he is bragging on Tod's behalf about his size?

That makes a more interesting question, how would he know and then why would he be bragging?

It is what it is

What's more amazing than the Carney incident itself is the reaction in and around rugby league circles.
We've had current and former players, his manager and commentators trying to defend it by explaining it away as a joke or prank gone wrong.
Some have seriously tried to lay the blame on the person who took the photo and put it onto social media. Others have vented on the Cronulla club for sacking him.
Where is someone from the game (with balls) to stand up and call it for the unacceptable and disgraceful act it is?
Meanwhile Todd, look up "personal responsibility", "accountability", "consequences", "respect" and "decency" in a dictionary.
