Great stuff so far. Good rugby, all the new law experiments seem to be having a small but positive impact and the crowd looks decent for a slightly wet Thursday night.

The way this is going we could get a 40 point draw! 8 tries to 5 with the Stars picking up a bonus point.

2 tries to 4 and they trail by 4. Seems unfair but emphasis will be on scoring tries close to the posts and goal kicking

Considering there's 5 centres in the wallaby squad currently, whilst kerevi is having a strong game, I doubt he can really press for a spot barring injuries but you make a good point. Especially positions like hooker with limited depth.

But only two specialist 13s. He's really only 1 injury away (2 if McCabe or Horne are outside centre cover) from perhaps being included in that Wallabies squad.

Stars well and truly on top at half time.

Happy with that half of rugby, obviously defensive structures are not going to be great in the first round across the comp but the flowing, attacking rugby has been very impressive.

Loved it.

Stars combinations seem to have to have the upper hand ATM, but the new points system seems to emphasize really good kickers with a lot of bottle.

Has Stewart linked up with a Super franchise yet? I like the look of his skills.

Been an excellent game so far with the Stars in control (which I seriously did not predict). But the problem with the three point conversion is now readily apparent. As backs do not know how to run round underneath the posts any more, you have to have a quality kicker or you are cooked.

Rohan Hoffmann is doing his best to keep Brisbane in it.

But let's face it, in the case of injury what are the available options? Kerevi, rasolea and Inman.

I was more so responding to the fact it was implied in the statement that the EOYT is a time to blood new players and now with no your games and smaller squads it's not
