No mention of the 'incident' on this page yet so am going to have to ask everyone to get back on topic please.

Wow, what the hell happened? I wasn't paying attention for a few weeks, and all of a sudden we have a speculation and character assassination thread that will soon rival the old Quade thread...

Actually, don't tell me, I don't want to know.

Getting back on topic is the last thing we need, but that's just me.

What the hell else is there to say???

There useful. They've played the most first person shooter games. Send them in first!

Well, that and we're the most likely to get women to procreate.

Not me personally (snip, snip) but at least I can draw them in with my wit and charm, and let some lucky sod do the rest.

Pretty sure they have to register every player signed to an Australian franchise, otherwise they can't play.

As far as I know, every player in Australia has to fill out an ARU registration form - so yes everyone playing rugby in Australia has to be registered with the ARU.

Ok, my mistake, I took the issue out of context..as in, does the ARU have to clear a player to play for the tahs..but yes, everyone has to be registered

I doubt they would take it any further than just not renewing his ARU contract, he would be free to play otherwise..unless it turns out to be really bad shit

I recall one particular Australian cricketer being the master of text messaging, so yes, I would assume that cricketers do also provide as much fun.

not really.
the best spinner of a mobile phone i can remember wasn't ever accused of inappropriate behaviour with team mates, coaching staff, support staff, back staff or front office staff or journalists.
or was he?

ARU per se would have almost no say whatsoever in whether Mr Beale could play with the Tahs.
remember when one Soup team wanted to do a deal to flout the ARU policy of no tops-up for players with less than two years in the Wallabies to recruit a player with zero years in the Wallabies?
the Soup team wanting a player topped-up simply did a contra with another Soup team wanting a nice top-up payment for its star.
done, combined power ruled.
job's right

who would have thought that dirty intra-industry "politics" would enter into the ARU's administration of the game?

When asked about John Buchanan, the coach, he said a coach was what drove you to the game

When the offence relates to 'bringing the game into disrepute' and is large enough to end a current contract new ones are usually blocked, at least in most sporting leagues I'm aware of. It's not necessarily a permanent ban, but generally some amount of forced exile is required for redemption, particularly if the offence was malicious, or in cases of significant history.
