Also bear in mind that, whilst the ARU didn't terminate his contract, they don't ahve to offer him a new one as it runs out soon.

Bill Pulver just announced that the contract negotiations with Beale will start again immediately. He confirmed Beale is able to be selected for test rugby straight away, and will be contacting Cheika as soon as he's able to see if he (Cheika) wants Beale to join the touring party.

What a complete joke this makes of the Australian Rugby Union. Honestly speechless.

I don't know how I can support a team that condones sexism, harassment and consistent disrespect of the green and gold jersey. It is simply beyond me. I don't think I will be able to bring myself to watch them play next weekend.

so not only that there's a good chance he'll be rewarded with a new contract... let me guess with a 45K signing on bonus

Hmm...
Bill (on phone): Hey Sir Cheik, it's little bill here
Cheika: Yes Mister Fluffy Bunny
Bill: Erm, the panel found Kurtley not guilty. That means he can play. do you wan...
Cheika: Bill, before you finish that, what do you think my fuckin' answer will be. Get him on the next first-class flight over to the UK before I ram this golf club up your arse!!!
*sound of smashing glass door in background*
Bill (turns to KB (Kurtley Beale)): Mate, I think he wants you

Also, the negotiations have stalled because KB (Kurtley Beale) refused the initial offer. He still may walk due to the crap deal.

12 like usual. I heard Douglas at 4 and Alofa at 14 too. They're only a couple hours away.
No way Alofa gets a shot above Speight.

But I have heard that Chiek wants to bring Gits home, which will surely put a dent in KB (Kurtley Beale)'s RWC hopes.

facepalm, actually double facepalm. Do these people have any understanding of what they're doing? Any idea of the mood out here in the zeitgeist? Idiots.

Hand on my heart I have never done any of this. Why? Because I have more fucking respect for people, that's why.

If you have said or done worse about a woman in your employ, a co-worker or at the pub, then maybe you should have a good, long hard look at your value set.
Hmmmmm, so Never looked at a set of boobs you shouldn't have? Never told a mate in your younger days after a few beers what you'd like to do the the hot receptionist at work? Kurtley is a dickhead for sending any derogatory text about a coworker, and certainly not something I've ever done, but morally it's only slightly worse than him just thinking Di was a bit of a chubber. But if you have never had a sexist or judgmental thought about anyone, you must be a bloody saint. Can you even see the field when your up on that horsey?

I want to add my absolute disgust at this result. It's a joke and I also will not be supporting the Wallabies if Beale plays.

The ARU are shit. My wallaby jumpers going to the op shop.

No, I can't - again, if that is your viewpoint, you need to re-evaluate your ethics. I've never said to anyone that I would "do the hot receptionist" - did you ever stop to think that the "hot receptionist" is a person, who might not welcome your lecherous thoughts?

For fucks sakes, it's not about being a saint, it's about being a decent human being. I don't appreciate your disingenuous attempt to bring me down to your level.

Hmmmm, 45k fine for sending one image one word text. How many of us have done or said worse about a woman in our employ, a co-worker or a good sort at the pub? Yet we have a few prepared to judge the process and the outcome so harshly they they post back their wallaby jersey without really knowing what actually happened.

What do you mean "without really knowing what actually happened"? There is an agreed fact and that is Beale sent a text message that is distasteful and pointed at an employee of the ARU. There is no justification in my mind at least for that plain and simple.

On the sanctions handed out, I can't comment, I'm not up to speed on the scale of penalties associated with the various code of conduct breaches, but I can't help that the general public will look at the carnage from this episode in simple terms:

Beale + text message = $45000 fine
Beale + text message > Link and Patstons jobs
