No, I can't - again, if that is your viewpoint, you need to re-evaluate your ethics. I've never said to anyone that I would "do the hot receptionist" - did you ever stop to think that the "hot receptionist" is a person, who might not welcome your lecherous thoughts?

For fucks sakes, it's not about being a saint, it's about being a decent human being. I don't appreciate your disingenuous attempt to bring me down to your level.

You really are missing my point. This isn't about you. You clearly are an exception and an exceptional human being

I really can't reevaluate my ethics. They are not mine to evaluate. I can evaluate my morals however. And I choose to continue looking at tits I shouldn't.

Neither am I. I will never abandon the great game of Rugby.

But as far as the Wallabies & the ARU is concerned they can take a tube of KY, go find a fallen telegraph pole, lube it up, & fornicate with it. I'm fucking done.

As a Saders fan AS, come join the black army. Trade that Wallaby in for a Silverfern :)

hate to say it but sounds as though the tribunal findings didn't support a termination of his contract. I hope the ARU actually remember this issue when they are sitting around the negotiation table. fuck me any fool can see he's not worth breaking the bank over. Spend the money bringing back Ben Mowen instead

What do you mean "without really knowing what actually happened"? There is an agreed fact and that is Beale sent a text message that is distasteful and pointed at an employee of the ARU. There is no justification in my mind at least for that plain and simple.

On the sanctions handed out, I can't comment, I'm not up to speed on the scale of penalties associated with the various code of conduct breaches, but I can't help that the general public will look at the carnage from this episode in simple terms:

Beale + text message = $45000 fine
Beale + text message > Link and Patstons jobs

Clearly there are facts that are out in the open, such as the text being sent. Unforgivable, I agree, and worthy of a heavy penalty. I too would have like him kicked out of the games...too many chances.

That said there are a lot more facts about this incident that no one here knows about. I liked link, and didn't want to see him go, but he did choose to go for reasons known only? To him.

Hmmmmm, so Never looked at a set of boobs you shouldn't have? Never told a mate in your younger days after a few beers what you'd like to do the the hot receptionist at work? Kurtley is a dickhead for sending any derogatory text about a coworker, and certainly not something I've ever done, but morally it's only slightly worse than him just thinking Di was a bit of a chubber. But if you have never had a sexist or judgmental thought about anyone, you must be a bloody saint. Can you even see the field when your up on that horsey?

If I did that at work, VERY likely I'd be sacked. People at my work have been sacked for MUCH less. If I had a list of priors like Beale's, guaranteed I'd be sacked.

Serious question: do you have any respect for women? Your posts indicate no. I find them rather offensive, actually, and I am not even a woman.

Need to hit the ARU where it hurts. Don't watch or record the live, televised games, make sure the ratings are as low as they can be so that repeats of Full House rate higher than Wallaby games amongst viewers. Record or watch the replays, they don't count when the powers that be look at how many people watched the game.

Why would I do that. I still like watching rugby at the highest levels. Jesus some people need to get their head out their ass. There's a lot of people doing good in the game and one or two people doesn't ruin everything.

When it gets to the stage that your flagship sporting team is condoning sexism and harassment in the workplace, and not to mention ongoing disrespect of the fact they are representing their country, you seriously have to consider whether or not you want to support them. I think it is a perfectly reasonable reaction.

don't know why people are ashamed of the ARU and the wallabies for the result. Beale's relatively minor penalty is clearly base on the findings in his favour by the tribunal. The ARU has followed the tribunals findings. If they terminate his contract they could just have a contract blue on their hands. The test for the ARU will be what happens from here. Beale should get a greatly reduced offer by the ARU. Let him walk if he doesn't want a pay cut.

Of all the million things I could do that would be the very last! NZ fans just have no concept of how they are seen by others outside the tent. From the justification of what was done to Ken Catchpole right through to the appalling behaviour of the NZ fans towards Quade Cooper, egged on by the NZ coaching team, their arrogant belief in their divine righteousness makes being a Wallaby supporter, even now, a far better option.

Not sure how anyone in the Wallabies 23 + coach last Bledisloe condoned sexism and harassment. But I'm sure you'll tell me you expected them to boycott the game in protest.

Of course I do. I am just being realistic. We are talking about a 24 year old kid here. We're probably all a bit older and a bit wiser then we were at that age. I'm sure most of us were never quite as stupid as he is. As I said I would have like KB (Kurtley Beale) booted as he has just had too many chances. But 45k fine is not insignificant. (My wife, who is a woman, concurs). I think thee are just too many people on their moral high horsies prepared to pass judgement on a situation they probably only know 10% of the facts.

And a few that don't know the difference between morals and ethics.

Hmmmm, 45k fine for sending one image one word text. How many of us have done or said worse about a woman in our employ, a co-worker or a good sort at the pub? Yet we have a few prepared to judge the process and the outcome so harshly they they post back their wallaby jersey without really knowing what actually happened.
[/B]. I suspect there will be a few surprises to come.

The Australian public service and the majority of state gvt public services, who have about 500,000 employees, have a very simple code of conduct. Sending one text is a sackable offence. It is an offence to have it or transmit it in the workplace and it is an offence under the telecommunications act to send offensive messages.
So we are very clear as to the seriousness of what we are talking about, under the telecommunications act, a message that could be considered offensive, humiliating or disgusting is punishable with up to 3 years jail.

Don't paint everyone with the same brush Hawko, unless you're one of those "arrogant", "uneducated", "drunk", "sore loser", "always brings up the c word" Wallaby supporters.

(a number of things I've heard to describe Aussie supporters)

This would be relevant if he was in the public service. He's not.

Just to clarify. I. Wanted him booted too. Just not going to join in on the "holier than though" crap.
