Not the best start, but credit to the Wallabies for showing a lot of patience. That French defence is looking really good getting up in our faces, vastly improved from June, but for the most part the Wobs aren't doing anything stupid.

The Wobs were poor for much of the first 40 but they're only 1 point behind. They looked a hell of a lot better in the last 10 than they did in the first 10.

France were their typical selves. Sublime for 20 minutes then went to sleep. Allowed the Wobs back into the game. Second half will probably be something similar but I'd expect an improved performance from Aus.

If Aus can keep France out during their purple patch and keep the scoreboard ticking over themselves they should come through this one with a win.

Good comeback, the second half should be a cracker..looking forward to the injections from the bench. Phipps is having a belter.

Scrums seem to be more solid with Horwill and Simmons, see what happens when they are subbed.

For a moment I thought the game was over but the lads got up from the floor and played with courage. I have faith for the second half

France's scrum this year would make anyone look solid. They were easily the worst scrum in this year's 6Ns which is strange because the scrum is a huge part of the Top 14.

Still you can only play what's put in front of you and the Aus scrum does look a lot better than last week.

Unless 1 of the teams is 30+ points up then a game involving France is never over when there's time on the clock. Even then there can still be a cracker of a finish as they either stage an amazing fight back or switch off and almost snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Thats strange, what happened to the French scrum over 2 years ago, i seem to remember they were a small but very efficient scrummaging front row?

That scrum machine software needs updating
