I think Shaun Rigby refereed the Bros v Norths game.
Refereeing scrums is a very difficult thing to do - the primary concern must be safety and consistency.
I just hope and wish that games whether they be in the RWC, S15 or QPR are not decided by scrum penalties (circa. Easts v GPS in Rnd 2 @ Bottomley - when a scrum penalty on full time nearly did but alas the kick was missed.)

I feel like its going to be a tough day at the office for your boys FilthRugby.
GPS have been itching for their first home game for a while now and most teams (barring 1st grade) are coming off good wins. I'm not usually overly confident but I'm thinking a big day down at Yoku for the Gallopers is on the cards.

How do you rate your chances?
The form lines (latest to oldest results) are not dissimilar even though they seem to be on opposite sides of the draw with Wests being the only common opponent:
Bros (2W/2L): W(Nth), L(BU), L(Snbk), Bye, W(Wst)
GPS (1W/3L): W(Wst), L(Sth), L(Uni), L(Eas), Bye
I hope it is a 3 tries a piece draw - with a few YCs thrown in for good measure!!
It is a massive game - the pressure will be right on the side that walks away from Yoku Rd empty handed.
My projection is that parking will be a real treat around Yoku Rd on Saturday!!

Actually the last 4/5 games between Brothers and GPS have resulted in a Gallopers win.

Was it last years Bros v GPS at Yoku where Damon Murphy had a can thrown at him from the Glue Factory? I'm sure none of those antics will happen again but the far side of the field will definitely be at full capacity with plenty of positive advice for the Brothers players

Tiger Land if I can assist Big Dog in terms of the troops coming back to Yoku Rd please note:
Reds play their last S15 game v Waratahs on 13 June which coincides with QPR Round 14.
The players will then probably be told that they have to take a week (maybe 2) off (20/6/16 Rnd 15 Bros v GPS) and then they'd be available from round 16 GPS v Sunnybank and round 17 Bond v GPS.
Aust U20s - the JRWC finishes on 20 June so they won't get those guys back until about the same time.
The issue for GPS is that if they lose 5 they probably won't make the semis, and they have already dropped 3 games to Easts, Uni & Souths so they can only afford to drop 2 more with games to play including:
Bros x 2
Snbk x 2
Bond x 2
Easts x 1
Uni x 1
Souths x 1
(No disrespect for leaving Wests & Norths off this list - I know they are well and truly capable of pulling off an upset and will do so before the season is finished, I just hope it's not v Easts)
That means that GPS will need to win 78% of games against these opponents, which will be no mean feat given that they will only have their stars back for Snbk (Rnd 16) and Bond(17), noting that Sunnybank will get their stars back for the round 16 clash as well.
Hence this weekend is critical to GPS 2015 chances. If GPS lose to the Filth this weekend I would nearly be prepared to call 2015 a lost cause for GPS.
Of the sides currently running 6th to 9th they have played and lost the following number of games:
6. Souths P5, L4;
7. Wests P5, L4;
8. GPS P4, L3;
9. Norths P5, L4.
I seriously don't think that any of these sides 6-9 have a chance of making the top 4 and I am happy for any of you to disagree with me.

I won't rehash over what TT has written out (nice work) but yes it seems like any returning Reds won't really make an impact on how the season goes, unless it is part of a finals campaign. To get there, however, the guys currently playing need to do the work.
The backline players GPS have at their disposal against Brothers is actually rather formidable. Duncan P, Kimami Sitauti, Sam Johnson, Jason Tomane and Issac Wierer to name a few. All those guys have experience in representative and/or professional setups so there is no reason why they can't start gelling a few wins together.

SX with Paraka(injury) & Ready(Sth Africa) out of the Tigers front row the Dogs will surely be wanting to attack through their well performed scrum one would expect.
Easts & Wests have had some close ones over the last few years and I don't think Saturday will be any different.
With these guys out one could mount an argument that Wests should be favourites!

SX - was there some doubt about the pass to Sam Johnson in the lead up to the second try by the GPS Winger #11.
Have a look on the wrap above (@ the 00:46 second mark) - to me it would appear that the pass from the GPS forward to Johnson clearly goes forward.
Given the margin in the game GPS can consider themselves lucky that they came away with win.

Yes Big Dog - I do believe it would have changed the whole complexion of the game - without that try GPS lead at half time is cut to 15-3 or even 12-3.
My point is that the pass does appear to go forward does it not? The physics of the trajectory of the ball would suggest that it goes forward but camera angle may play a part. => maybe someone could give a more objective view than me?

Riggers was a former front rower so he knows his way around a scrum, need more refs who come from the tight 5. Too many pretty boy former backs running around.
Also anyone know what the problems are with souths and their kicking at goal? They have had chances against Bond and Easts to win/draw matches on full time with kicks but have missed some very standard shots. I've also noticed them turn down several penalties that should have resulted in 3 points.
