Sio getting binned put us back in the game. However, the scrum which got him yellow carded went down on the side opposite to him.
On matters of substance our inability to adjust to the rush defence by trying to hit it up in a narrower channel first instead of shovelling it 2 wide - as wide as we could go - is a worry.

2 English tries came from Aust errors. They were hardly dominant in any facet of the game. The wallabies lost that game. England did not win it.

Yeah but a try would have taken time, there would have likely no chance for a restart, where there was with the penalty.

This. I actually think it was a smart choice. Could have taken 5mins to get a try and then their is no time for a restart. Whereas a penalty means you can keep the ball in play and go overtime to get a try

Sio was awful tonight, he should have been hooked before that yellow card.
And fuck Eddie Jones that bung eye fluffybunny is the reason our scrummaging fell so far behind. He left John Connolly with a complete mess up front and we still haven't fully recovered.

I hate any SH side losing to a NH side. I hate the Wallabies losing. Most of all I hate losing to England.

What hurt the most is that England were the better team.

And what a player that Itoje is going to be (and already is).

Not sure anyone can put it better than that

Our opening volley predictably a bit rusty vs them coming off 6N win. 4 tries to 3 no disaster given penalty count and goal kicking. Think we'll regroup pretty well before next week.

In which case a draw would have been better then a loss, Cheikas reaction seemed to indicate he wasn't happy with the choice either

I disagree

Higher chance out winning > consolidation prize of a draw. When the other team has the cup in a three game series.

The offload from DHP was ok.... Two English tries from Kerevi's handling tonight...

The try in the first half was actually a poor pass from Lealifano, went above Foleys head, Foley tried to catch it and knocked it back and Kerevi had to turn around and try and clean it up.

If you want to be one of those who blame an individual player for causing a try, how about you look at the player who caused the mistake to start with..

Ouch. Congratulations to the poms.

This is going to sound like sour grapes but it isn't. We were better team for most of the game. But we also made by far the most mistakes. Brilliancies win mactches but mistakes lose them. Far too many mistakes.

Nonetheless, kudo to the enemy!

Fair result in the end. As long as Pocock is ok you guys should win the last 2, which would be an accurately reflect where both you guys are.

Nooo... we play for the win. There's no guarantee a kick to the corner would've resulted in a try.

Australia will win the series easily, we lost this one on the injuries and the poor goalkicking.

There was more then just that. We lost because England made turnovers and forced penalties.

1. We have a bad exist strategy in our halve of the field.
2. Often in attack our players isolate themselves away from support / or support aren't there making turnovers easy for England.
3. Goalkicking
4. Injuries
5. Compounding errors - Izzy's one poor pass leading to a try really poor from 2-3 players in a row.

Australia gave away way too many penalties. Can't imagine Cheika being happy with the penalty count at all.

This win for England is huge and it will make the series interesting going forward.

Perhaps league is your game. I'll keep watching Rugby. Now, in the interests of observing the laws of arguing on the internet, I will now concede the argument to you.

Rugby Union should be more like Rugby League. There you go - winner!

That's pretty funny. Where I live, League is not popular, in my town we don't have a League team yet. I know the game (League) since 5 years ago. I've played Rugby Union all my life, believe me, rugby is my game.

I'm just saying is boring to see win the side with the best goal kicking game
