Just heard Gorden Tallis having a bleat on one of the morning brealkfast shows that GT stitched BGS 91-0 thanks to all their scholarship players. When GT played us (TSS, very good game) just a few weeks ago, i was told they were mostly there from year 8. Has something changed?

Gordon tallis always like having a bleat without knowing the real facts

Boy the U16's comp this year has been a tough one, judging by the weekends results the 2017 Firsts might be tighter than this years!!!

TSS ACGS and GT still with one loss. TSS and ACGS clash this weekend and neither BBC or NC will be easy for GT, ACGS finish with the bye and TSS face BSHS in the last round.

Weekends results.

TSS 22 d NC 17
GT 7 d TGS 5
ACGS 11 d BBC 7

BGS 10 d BSHS 7

NC 16A were unlucky. Intercept try by TSS centre. Was a exciting finish. Could have gone either way. TSS backline is electric. To beat them, you have to take them on in the forwards and starve the backline of ball.

Brilliant win the NC 15A team yesterday against a TSS team that had at least 6 new boys- what a titanic match .

"Lucky" is more like it. Agree that it was a fantastic match but TSS U15A lads would have to feel ripped off. I was sitting on southern end stairs and the big TSS lad certainly went over for a try under the post a minute out from full time. The ref was in a poor position and did not award the try. 2nd try scored by the same player disallowed. That try would have given TSS the win.
As it stands, poor ref decision cost them the shared first place position.

Where were the touchies? They should've been up with the play and in-goal (at least one of them) with a good view of anyone going over the goal line.

Nice bait but BBC game not likely to challenge GT as they have lost their firepower and don't have the breakdown play to dominate possession. Will be a challenging day for BBC across the board.

So i hear BBC 4,5,9 13 and 14 are out this week and probable 1st choice 6 has not played a match this year. That is 2 aussie schools players, your best and biggest forward plus your lineout caller all out.
Interesting to hear that game plan .
But i am backing the BBC 15 B team to win their bye .

Can't quite follow your post bar the 15B which I assume is due to GT year10 immersion which should be deemed a forfeit as its a school choice on the timing if that's accurate.

Doubt the injuries are not part of the BBC game plan - does anyone know if Hosea break a bone or just concussion v BSHS? I thought he might be right to return.

I actually hope NC go all the way now.
No one gave them much of chance and quite a few said" they are not up with NC teams of past"
But they :
1) are young;
2) play an entertaining style;and
3) play as a team
Better run with injuries for them this year.Only really 15 in and out.

I assume he meant" what do you say to a team where more than 1/3 are
promoted from 2nds or 16A
Do your best - I guess

Well said most experts were quite dismissing! Whatever happens over the next 2 weeks the NC side has shown what good coaching, hard work, heart and ability do! Would be great if they could finish it off, great game coming up!!
