AB's won 24-19; three tries to one.

Top 15 teams in the world rankings all played this weekend, as did Canada (18th going into the weekend). Without spoiling things for anyone by giving scores, this is how results have affected the rankings:

1. New Zealand (were 1) 94.78 (were 94.78)
2. England (2) 89.84 (89.84)
3. Australia (3) 86.97 (88.14)
4. Ireland (4) 84.63 (83.46)
5. Wales (6) 82.55 (81.77)
6. South Africa (5) 81.79 (82.57)
7. Scotland (7) 80.67 (80.57)
8. France (8) 80.13 (80.13)
9. Argentina (9) 79.91 (79.91)
10. Fiji (10) 76.46 (75.49)
11. Japan (11) 74.23 (75.20)
12. Georgia (12) 74.14 (74.24)
13. Italy (13) 72.47 (74.16)
14. Tonga (15) 71.94 (70.25)
15. Samoa (14) 71.25 (70.91)

18. Canada (18) 63.95 (64.29)

Samoa & Tonga trade places, Wales up & South Africa down again: it's going to be very hard now for them to get back into the top four by the time the RWC draw is made on 10 May next year.

Judging from hat we have seen in all the tests this year I have to think the Welsh will come fight with Italy for last place in the 6N. The total lack of any imagination in attack which is Gatland's (Howley's) hallmark means they will not score anywhere near enough against Eng, Ire and Scot or France to win. They also just don't have the dynamism to their game to match it with those teams.

Fiji 38
Japan 25

Played out on some sad wee wendyball ground on a grey day in France. God knows why. Fun viewing anyway as despite Fiji being down to 14 players for most of the match, their 14 remaining Mr T's were "in the mood" and no, not for romance.

Don't understand what happened to the Welsh Gnostic, they looked pretty good against ABs in June, especially the first couple of tests.
Mind you perhaps we need to ask ourselves are ABs as good as we think, or are we judging them on wins over Wallabies and SA, and maybe SH rugby in general is weaker than we thought.

Gee, haven't South Africa fallen - even quicker and further than the Wallabies.
Australia has fallen at most one spot in the rankings. Such a long way! (in case you didn't realise I was being sarcastic)

We never thought we had a chance in NZ, so shackles off & the team just played without pressure.
Home again this autumn & the public/media on their backs.
We always start very slowly, probably due to the over vigorous training camps. Australia knew that & blew the Welsh side away in the most one-sided 1st half of test rugby I've seen in years.
Don't think the Welsh players recovered from that to be honest. Happy just to get the next 3 games over.
SA were truly awful on Saturday which was sad to see.
6N will be interesting, England & Ireland look miles away from us.
Can't see anything but another English slam.

Actually wondered about the 'shackles off' theory myself WF, because they Welsh team in NZ certainly played with a fair amount of freedom it seemed.
Have to say I thought the hardest tests the ABs played this year were 2 against Irish, the first one against Welsh ( 2nd not far behind), and French (where I thought they looked tired).
