She's tough and can put a hit on as well. Surely she'll pop up in the 7s squad very soon.

I was curious as to her defense because there's no doubting her attack. Great to hear. She's in the 7s system, but also on the radar of AFL (nominated for the draft but a year too young apparently).

Don't think she missed a tackle all game against bigger opposition. She also put on a number of big hits on back at the Schools nationals as well. Quick, fast feet, tough and fearless. We'd be nuts to let her slip through our hands and into AFLW.

that begs the question, given she is still only 17, is there the same protection of up and coming players in Women's rugby as there are in the AFL? I would hate to see someone with so much ability have their career cut short by being rushed through the system before she is physically ready

Like the force did with James O'Connor and David Pocock?

no arguments there Reg. Whilst I wondered the same thing about JOC (James O'Connor) at the time I never thought about Pocock

That's a fair enough concern but that's why I think time with in the Women's 7s set up would be the most ideal. Actively involved in the game but with less physical intensity allowing time to develop. I know this is getting ahead of things here but I've now seen this young lady play twice and she's been the standout on both occasions. She's hugely gifted and a must in my opinion on the retention side of things.

Another I quite liked the look of was the Force 13 who I think was said to be 17 as well. Scored two tries. Korrepa I think her name is. Good skills, good feet, can run a bit and most impressively runs really hard into the contact.

Good response by the QLDERS with a big win over the Brumbies 42-5.

Quite enjoyed brumbies W vs Reds W as best game so far for me - Reds much improved on last week. Brumbies were no slouches but seemed to struggle in backs to get much going plus yellow then red card did not help their cause

The Force women walked past us yesterday at the SFS.

Courtney Hodder is absolutely tiny!

Although watching the highlights of the game yesterday she made one great front on tackle in particular so she certainly isn't scared of putting her body on the line against a much bigger player.

she was one of the best for WA-got no clean ball on the wing in the first half, but was moved to 9 in the second and did very well there

Next year it might be a good idea to start the women's comp some time in April if possible. Playing early afternoon when the weather is a bit cooler has to be better for the women & the game.
