I'm expecting to see a cracker battle of the Forwards for the SEC v Villa game, both sides have 3 players each in the starting AIC 1 forward pack. And It'll be interesting to see the match up between Torpy and Mcnulty. Any thoughts?
By having a look at the GPS 1 side on the QLD GPS thread I think this AIC 1 team could give them a run for their money. Only weak point in the AIC team agaisnt the GPS 1 side I think will be in the front row with the likes of Luka, Mafi, and McColl
So just from gathering information from the posts above, the GPS forward pack will be:
1. Gavin Luka
2. Alex Mafi
3. James McColl
4. Angus Scott - Young
5. Dylan Leyland
6. Tuaina Tualima
7. Jaiden Schultz
8. Reece Hewat
If I've got anything wrong just let me know
I believe there is no chance of SEC losing the 1st XV premiership (if thats what you are implying) even if they lose this weekend to Villanova. The closest teams are Padua and Ashgrove (not too sure on Ash) I think with two losses each. So the AIC premiers for this year is SEC.
I honestly believe the Padua side will run rings around Ashgrove, I don't believe the ashgrove side was that well drilled rather they are just big boys. Both sides play quite similar as when they enter the opposing sides 22 they just pick & drive, so it will be interesting to see how each team...
From what I have seen, the Pats forward pack aren't large in size but they make up for it with the fitness and ball work. The backline isn't too big, with the 12 being the only one to mention that has some decent size
St Pats - I believe its the #7
Iona - Jayden Carrol
SLC - Mitch Schneider
Villanova - George Carter
St Edmunds - I'd imagine it'd be between Clifton and Cayleb
Peters - Not too Sure
Ashgrove - Daniel Byrne but not 100%
Padua - Connor Gentile
Tip for Round 1:
Iona vs St Peters - In my opinion, the St Peters team will take to the Iona side. I was at the SLC v Iona trial game a few weeks back and the Iona forward pack absolutely took it to the SLC forwards with a very physical 10 mins, however they did slack off towards the end of the...
