Had the option of both but more comfortable in the boat mould that they had rowed for the last 3 years or so.

It wasn’t the exact same mould, etc. MUBC boat was reverse wing rigger. TKS boats are standard wing rigger.

The first 8 rowed the MUBC 8 they borrowed at head of the river. And then hopped in the second 8 boat and raced in that boat for Nationals. That second 8 boat is now being used by the Jnr crew that’s trialling.

Rowing the Kings Filippi for now. No involvement from NTC, etc. Junior age group Aust selections is a weird beast. Basically just turn up with a crew that you hope is fast enough and race for a spot. If you do the time, then all good and away you go. If you don’t then if there are obvious...

Only have two to three weeks between nationals and when you have to be ready to trial at selections so have to focus on keeping combinations together. As a result, just put together stern three from Joeys. Middle 3 from Kings (Wickham, McLean, Hines) and two best scullers from Riverview...

I heard Alfie was 0.1 secs behind Hinesy so surprising one is in top 10 and the other not … would be interesting to see all the scores!!

There’s been a lot of chat about the old days in this forum for the past few days. What is the best thing that the schools / RowingNSW used to do in the old days that we don’t do now?! For mine, it’s the variety of racing - the loss of twilight regatta, head of the parra, more school boys racing...

Not sure where that intel has come from. They raced all regattas through term 4 (including Shore regatta, etc plus the Reindeer regatta) and all regattas this term except at the Nepean on the weekend and their home regatta earlier in the term when they were hit by sickness.
