RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

Dismal Pillock

Simon Poidevin (60)
Dare I say it but Aus wont be unduly worried by that. They had Wales number. Once Aus started getting quick ball it was soup rugby and they were off to the races. Wales, accustomed to the 6N frozen plod of dogshit waddle rugby, were fried in the heat and frazzled in the brains by the pace

Genia and Foley an absolute liability. That should really end their test careers. 45 minutes of tier 2 carthorse horseshit until they got the hook. Foley especially. Oh my fucking God he was bad.

Stu Barnes is so annoying, stfu with your NH parochialism. The NH haven't won a WC since 2003, why are they so much better at cup rugby?

Bullshit from Poite and the officals. It clearly crossed the plane of touch.

I am not certain but very, very sure that plane of touch was taken out of the equation either at the start of this year or last. Only question is whether his feet were on the touch line when he jumped.

I loved To'omua played terrific as did Latu. I thought Kurevi was great across the gain line but gee he lost to many balls in contact. The scrum was great. Davis the Welsh 9 is a thief and refs should stamp that type of play out... The replacement Welsh 10 was just tremendous. Great kicker and I love those drop goals... Lots to learn from this game but I will say this. If the percentages went our way then we would win that game by 20 points.

Alun-Wyn Jones is such a warrior for Wales. Watching Biggar and ginger Biggar kick at sticks just reminded me how much we lack a genuine silky kicker. To'omua - can't complain with his work, but there was a sense of inevitability whenever the Welsh lined up.

As for the rest of the tournament? Whatever. Gotta beat whoever's in front of us, so let's just roll the sleeves up and muck in.

Hope Leali'ifano is good to go again - we obviously need a reserve, one way or the other. Foley had an utterly forgettable game.
Yes but problem is Christian is solid but not really the finisher you want on your bench. Maybe the better option is keep To'omua on for 80mins and have Beale as backup 10.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was really only choice we had today which is bringing back the problem of only selecting 1 specialist winger.

Can we get a new coach in before next game?

Why? Everyone here was saying we would be dominated at set piece today because of selection, our line out and scrum were both superior. He selected Foley as he was our 2nd fly half based on past performances (up until the 10 minute mark). I don't think Cheika is telling the guys to be half asleep for the first 20 minutes that is a player issue.

Cheika then changed the game up at half time and reacted quickly to us getting one of the worst penalty decisions I have ever seen, followed by a dubious intercept try.

I don't think he should be coach after the WC as he has a trash record but today he did alright.

Saw one called the opposite way in Super rugby, and I think one in the home tests too. Not sure the consistency with that law is there. But I agree, I believe it is OK if you are in play before the ball crosses. Any refs on here?

The officiating was disgraceful. Poite and Skeen can fuck off.

I’m now officially on the Matt To'omua bandwagon. Seems they have assigned the general play kicking duties elsewhere, let him run let him tackle. He makes a lot of impact when he doesn’t have to think about kicking.

I won’t be surprised if F1J1 knock Wales off so we can still win the pool, but if not we have to best the big boys to win anyway. Bring it on!

Fiji-Wales game will be interesting. Both sides will be cactus after 60 minutes.
