League Targets

The Ghost of Raelene

I actually enjoy watching league, but journalists like him make me want to despise it times. He is a sad old man.
I do like the perspective of guys like Anasta on 360 who are far more fair. The younger ex players who were all FT pros get it. I’ve heard Hindmarsh, Cronk & Tallis all be pretty fair on the topic. Ex players get it. Grumpy old journos embarrass themselves really. Don’t think their opinions are valued much anymore with social media holding more sway then the paper.

It's also really easy to mute or block pretty much all the "click-bait" controversy merchants so you never have to read their stufg

I had a horse racing last Sunday so I tuned in to 2KY to listen to the preview and caught the end of his segment. I had never heard him before, the other commentators wanted to discuss the highlights of the weekends games and he just kept coming back to the topic of how Gould was 100% right re the 'don't let the hit you on the way out' comment and JS must not be picked for NSW.

Speaking of League Journos who make fools of themselves.

I present Paul Kent

Imagine Clarkey squaring up on a Saturday… honestly felt like it after watching the Force v Highlanders game.
He's such a flog. Also that is some top notch caption work on that post.

Angus Crichton is gonna re-sign to the Chooks

The Sydney Roosters have withdrawn their offer to David Fifita.

Despite his management making the initial approach to the Club and Fifita personally informing the Sydney Roosters’ Chairman and Head Coach of his intent to join the Club last Thursday, Fifita has since expressed doubt about his decision.

Consequently, the Club has elected to withdraw its offer with view that it is in the Roosters’ best interests. The Club wishes Fifita all the best

Think Crichton's recent form may have pushed this more than anything. He's also going to be 200k cheaper.

Fifita will either re sign with the Titans or land at the Panthers who also have a ton of cash to spend.

And Fifita is one player in attack and other in defence

That's why Penrith makes sense. Besides having the cash they have the side to carry a guy who lacks a bit on Defence because they will just use him as a try scoring weapon on an edge.

I don't think we'll ever see Crichton in Rugby now. At least in Aus. Always going to be sides that want a rep backrower. Best chance for Rugby was last year when he had his issues and form slump but that seems done now. The other guy we all wanted Cameron Murray looks like his body is being ground down year by year being smaller forward.

Definitely not the type of guy we should be throwing cash at regardless, unless that magical benefactor was interested.
