NRC Rnd 2: Spirit v Rays

Rays killed it in that second half. It was painful to watch. The Spirit won't develop much of an NRC following with performances like that.

Josh Holmes, Boyd Killingsworth and Reece Hodge were among the best for the Rays. Jack Dempsey, Sam Ward and Alex Northam also really good. A couple of those guys would make the Australian Barbarians on that performance.

The Spirit front row can hold their heads up pretty high, but no-one else really can for the Spirit. A few players had flashes of brilliance only to waste it with poor decision-making or poor discipline. Jermaine Ainsley has had two good games in two weeks. He is another who might be on the Barbars radar at tighthead- but it is hard to know how much credit he is due for a whole team effort.

Yep,pretty much all the Rays will be happy with their performance today.
Not so much the Spirit,who suffered from a lack of.
That,and pretty poor tactics.
They were killing it early playing it tight,then they decided to make the Rays play with the ball for the rest of the game.
Surprisingly,the Spirit struggled to score off Rays possession.
Go figure.
