The 16 A's have won a 2 and lost 1 i think, victories against Shore and Iggies and a loss against Kings, I also think they lost to Joeys in pre-season, he has become less of a focal point in attack for them with other good players popping there heads up
I agree with both of those things. First rugby as a career is a lot more dependent on physical ability. Almost anyone could get a normal office job but people of a certain size and skillset that has been fine tuned over at least 5 years of hard training both inside and outside of schools are...
Newington 4ths play all other schools 4ths unless the thirds are playing High, Grammar or Armidale, however the 5ths and 6ths will usually play 8ths/10ths just because those teams are at a closer level to New's 5ths and 6ths, otherwise there would be 50 + score lines every week

7 points after 5 games in second, they were on 7 points at the end of the season. I think that constitutes a promising start?
Both of the thirds first two games were narrow losses, after this injuries took their tole and they went to pieces. In the seconds case, they were first at the July brake and injuries and movements between teams saw them remain winless in the second half of the season. Maybe I was wrong with the...
You are right about the lack of depth last year QH, which was shown through fielding 5 opens teams as opposed to the 10 and above that some of the other schools possessed. However both the 2nds and the 3rds had promising starts only to be brought down through a number of injuries and other...
For all those predicting Newington to struggle this year, don't count your chickens before they hatch, New had next to no preparation for the game against Knox and were missing a few key players that included, but were not limited to, Sepesa, Kennewell and Vuni.
Sorry aka_the_think, my bad.
From what I have heard I do believe Vunipola Fifita will be returning, though I may be corrected on that. I also believe NSW 1's reserve hooker Matt Serhon will be returning as he is doing pathways and will contend with Fotukava for the GPS 1's hooker spot again...
It's odd that you haven't mentioned any Newington boys, especially since there is a returning Australian schoolboy, a returning NSW 1s hooker and a returning Combined States winger.
