I played at Tuggeranong Viking Park on the weekend. The fields were like manicured bowling greens, never seen anything like it! They also had 6 change rooms!

That is correct. Hence why he wasn't chosen. I withdraw my outrage.

Disappointing not to see Rory Sheard being named in the SIRU squad. I would have thought he deserved a spot with the quality of rugby he has been playing over the past couple of years.

Sam Bunny lives in Wagga and didn't see himself travelling more. Sad to see him go as he's been a Yabby since he was 7. Rory Sheard wanted to put himself in a more professional rugby environment. City were kind enough to wait until he'd polled in the medals to approach him.

Sorry Sam, harvest has kept me away from the keyboard for a while! In my opinion the moving from SIRU to the Monaro comp has been the best outcome for the club as a whole. Our 16's & 18's had already moved to that comp last year as there was no 17's comp in SIRU. So this will help us strengthen...

I know it is what it is and it's disappointing. It'll be a big dent in their team as he is in my opinion Junees best player. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got a question for you yourmatesam or anyone else with a lot of on field decision experience. There was a player in the Junee team red carded for a dangerous tackle, the card was justified by any standard. My question is the tackle occurred with around a minute left and Junee up 26-0. Is there...

Pitch report from Cranfield Oval - Young; Slightly greasy last week with the effects of winter being fully felt. No teams have been on it all week and we have had sunshine and warm days for the past few so should have dried up a touch. I'd avoid the cricket pitch at all costs though. The council...

Many positive and negative points were made about the possibility of a new comp. No real decision was made, more so a list of topics that would need to be addressed by SIRU/Brumbies. More light will be shed once the clubs know what they are dealing with come November I would assume.

It was interesting move by SIRU to let Cootamundra know that their league players were eligible to play finals on the weekend even though they hadn't played before. Bit of a sour taste when you have guys who have put in all year only to be be undone by some rule bending.

Social media will get you every time! Good to see the Aggies keeping an eye on the goings on up North! I agree with you its such a big move and not one to take lightly. Every town has a surge of players at one point or another. Sadly Young has been dwindling in numbers for a few years and its...

At the moment there is very strong interest from 9 clubs with another 5 showing interest at being involved. Some of these clubs are currently in other zones but the travel and level of rugby is something they want to address hence the attraction to this new venture.

First off its not a village comp. It is a competition idea that is being floated by numerous clubs in the area that struggle year to year with player numbers/recruitment to field 2 to 3 teams. No club wants to see a demise of rugby to a point where the club folds and these are the positive steps...

That's what I thought Sam. Draw says there is 2 grades but hearing there is one? Was hoping to clear it up so I know if I have to boot up this weekend or not!
