Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

My boys go to what has traditionally been seen as a "rugby nursery school" in Sydneys East, with quite a few Wallabies in the old boys. The AFL has approached the school to take the boys for their PE classes once a week for 5 weeks, all expenses paid, which the school accepted with open arms...

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

I agree with you 100% when you say that "the current location isn't suitable for anything larger than whats currently there". I've been going to the rugby since Super 10's, watched a couple of Test Matches, and even seen a few League games - and apart from the tests this stadium has NEVER been...

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

I did see some flares at the Sevens. Or should they more correctly be called "bell bottoms"?

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

True. You cant have any trees near a Light Rail System, but you can have a 55,000 capacity white elephant. With pissed idiots wandering all over the tracks before and after games..... In fact, why not shift the bridge 100 feet to the North (and put it where it should have friggin been) as a show...

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

So basically move the stadium 100 feet to the West? Hmmmmm.

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

Oh Dear. So "the big end of town" want to tear down the SFS and build a 55,000 seater in its place. After a spectacular inaugural Sydney 7's at Moore Park, this will obviously mean a shift to Olympic Park. May as well draw the white screen around the event and put a bullet through its heart now...

World Rugby Sevens Caravan coming to Sydney

Absolutely brilliant event! We braved the 2 days and took our kids both days, and the whole event exceeded our expectations. The 15's and test organisers could learn a few things.... Having the event so spread out meant that you could take your time getting there, getting in, getting food and...

Karmichael Hunt charged with cocaine supply.

...apparently the police were called after the Red/Brumbies game when an unknown white substance was found close by to a number of the Queensland players. On further analysis it was determioned to be the try line....

    The League Media

Fair enough. I'm still pissed off with the Wallabies potential and results. Chance of progressing through their pool at the RWC next year....? Back to the thread topic though - it aint the League Media thats the enemy!

    The League Media

I'm with the sports writer from the SMH. After waiting for so long to see the Waratahs finally win the Super 10, 12, 15's, the stage was set for a great international season. What a miserable time be be a Wallaby supporter. Who is going to bother watching the Wallabies get smashed this week-end...

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2014

Better late than never....but..... A big thumbs up to the organisers and local volunteers at the U'12's rugby at Camden. This whole long week-end was what U12's rugby should be about. Fun, friendships, sausage sizzles, and b(l)eery mornings! As a father of a player, and volunteer helper, I just...
