Hey Redmond
How do you think eastwood and sydney uni felt losing to stacked 4th grade sides. creating 1 losing to 6 and 2 losing to 5.
thats footy you have to deal with it.
If they want to change something make sure the clubs that work to get 4 teams into the finals aren't hindered...
Totally agree hugh Jarse
Last year there was a western Sydney development side that entered which was made up of the boys from western zone that didn't get picked and they BEAT Sydney in the tournament.
It goes to show some years there is plenty more boys capable.
Unfortunately this year...
There was no concurrent announcement due to their being only one common player between schools and Sydney.
That was Harry Turner 7. for Sydney
other than that none of the players were selected by both
Sometimes it isn't the clubs fault.
I know Eastwood don't offer the players much more than a position in a team that will be in the finals. In this competition that is all clubs can bargain with ( except uni).
And with Woods, Randwick & sometimes easts being competitive over 4 grades players...
In 2009 they got Castle Hill Showground as an oval they could use.
Which is now where the new north west rail link station is going.
But they said Granville was the spiritual and original home of Parramatta.
(I believe it is Cumberland oval but that's another argument)
And therefore they...
Either way the exodus needs to stop.
If I was NSWRU I would finish up penrith and move Parramatta closer to the hills region where a lot of Parramatta players are coming from and start again with the:
Western Sydney Two Blues
I'm pretty sure about 8 of them went to eastern suburbs due to a previous Penrith coach going there.
This included the McKenzie brothers and all other NRC players.
(correct me if i'm wrong)
Langers:
The JRU team is picked from firstly the June long weekend State Champs but
more from the Sydney Metropolitan trials where MWZ/MNZ/MSZ & Baa Baa's play on July 11 & 12
Whereas schoolboys are selected from the weekend at caragul as well as watching boys each weekend (ISA, GPS & CAS)
What you say is true....... eastwood doesn't worry about ouncil a grondskeepingbut that s also ecaus the can'.
Firstly the gym facility at Eastwood is literally a couple of odd weighted dumbbells a cable machine and chin ups bar. (hardlyan attraction considering Wests just did theirs up)...
If Jack Mann is coming in at 10 for Kings I would be watching him.
I watched this kid in the U/16's and he was easily the greatest head on the park.
Unfortunately has been hampered with injury but if he gets back to good form the Kings side is a 10 point better team if not more.
Great game...
I believe this is a vital pathway for all players. It is the first and important step for players to understand what rep footy is about and the step up needed.
Unfortunately the coaching doesn't assist with this often.
Do we know the representative coaching structures for the teams this...
Is no one seriously talking about Unio losing in ALL FOUR GRADES!!!
No matter what club your from (except uni) you must be happy to see the dominance of the students come to an end.
This weekends manly v Woods clash will be a physical tough encounter. Can't wait.
P.S I am a fan of...
