I wouldn’t throw Foley away just yet, if Quade isn’t ready for next year I’d be hesitant going into the RWC with just Lolesio even if he’d be my preferred. But yes he’s 100% in the best 23 over Donaldson and Edmed. I’d still be rotating Foley/Lolesio this EOYT.
Given Foley is not playing all five games on the tour due to the agreement with his Japanese club, someone is going to have to start the last two games at 10.

Noah should be starting every test at 10 this tour with Donaldson as a back up.

Time to move on from Foley.
I agree regarding Foley. Re Lolesio, I'm not convinced he is a better 10 than Donaldson. Donalson looks better organised and competent. I am always unsure about Lolesion up against the tougher competition with a pack being worked over.

Is there a 10 who looks good against tough competition with a retreating pack? Donaldson's never been tested against England, Sth Africa, or NZ, which makes him look better.

I read it’s just one, Wales he will miss due to it being outside the window

Banks has also been cleared by his club to play the spring tour, with the possible exception of the Wales test also as it sits outside the test window...

Surely not. Noah still needs time in the saddle.
The issue is, why are we putting all our eggs in one basket when it comes to young 10's?

Noah developed earlier than the likes of Donaldson & Edmed and got all the attention because of it, but I haven't seen anything to indicate he's going to be the Wallabies starting flyhalf long-term over other options.

In Lolesios defence, he is able to take the heavy physicality of test footy and put his body on the line in defence. That is worth a lot. I suspect Edmed will be the same. Not sure about Donaldson in that regard but his passing and kicking skills appear to be a little better than the other two.

I think we have a really good shot at the Rugby World Cup,

In 2027.

The fact we are talking about 5 different flyhalf options so late in the piece, and one of the options is dropping the bloke who has been the designated development flyhalf for the past three years just shows how far we need to go before arriving at the destination.

Quade and Foley aren't going to around after RWC23. They'll keep sniffing to throw their hats in the ring for a plane ticket to France, but once that flight has left, it's game over.

I don't see the point in playing either Foley or Quade anymore when we've seen the likes of Donaldson, Edmed and even Noah can develop into better long-term prospects. I may not have said that before these 'A' games but now I feel like it's the best move forward for the Wallabies and should be executed pronto.

When’s the last time someone won a RWC with a 10 as young as Lolesio, Donaldson or Edmed will be? Even in 2011 with Carter out, the inexperienced at Test level players were still older and more experienced at club level.

Finally, no Creighton. The pairing of Stewart and Henry is our strongest on tour, and Kuenzle was good last game. At last there is a chance that Vunivalu will get a pass from his outside centre.
Only problem I see is that Edmed and Peitch are 22 and 23. Who plays where if Henry gets injured?
Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) has played 13 for Eastwood I believe.

Agree…. If anyone can comeback from an injury it’s Cooper, however if he doesn’t or gets injured again during early RWC games, I assume the powers that be have same reasoning and that’s why Foley has been brought back. However for this tour we should play the young 10’s. Just to get some Test match experience. We know what Foley can do. They just might surprise everyone?

I think this is the problem created through the coach not being able to afford to look beyond 2023 (which regardless of the coach is always going to be the case).

Given what was served up the last 2 weeks, I reckon they're a shot at performing, given their history together at the Reds.

Did they actually play any footy together at the Reds? Henry only has 8 caps, all from 2021, he spent most of this season injured.

I was actually going to make the point that as a Reds fan, I'm hoping they don't go too well! It will be bittersweet. Although I imagine it was quite a logjam in that 12/13 spot before Stewart departed the Reds, with Paisami and I wouldn't be surprised to see JOC (James O'Connor) move to the centres next year and allow Creighton and maybe Lynagh to play 10.
