Very good game.

Some points of interest:

- Pat Lambie looks like an international class 10 if ever there was any doubt. Seems to have so much time.

- Lambie 1, Goosen 0. Goosen had a poor game. Maybe fronting Lambie screwed with his head but he has come off a long layoff.

- The Sharks have started where they left off last year. They look more organised than their typical Super Rugby early season form. Look out. The depth on their bench is ridiculous and they get the Battleship back around the half way mark.

- Frans Steyn is a completely different player and just looks right at 12. Good test of his leadership as the Cheetahs looked to be stealing it.

- Must be something in the water but in a white jersey in Bloemfontein, Sarel Pretoors can suddenly pass.

- Now I remember what the hype was around Johann Sadie.

- Cheetahs will beat a few teams this year. Their defense looks better and they actually have an excellent backline but need Goosen to get his mojo back, which he will.

- Sharks should top the SA conference. They have a game that can go further than the Bulls or Stormers as long as they can keep their heads and manage injuries.

- SA is lucky to have Adriaan Strauss as a backup to Bismarck. What a player and leader this guys is.

I like how willing the Cheetahs are. Always trying to have a go and they normally play positive rugby. A few crucial lapses cost them against the Sharks, but agree they'll beat their share of teams this year, particularly at home.
