IT's a shame we won't be able to see England's best play in the upcoming test series.........

Wallabies legend George Smith has won the Players’ Player of the Year award at the RPA Awards this morning.

Smith took the top gong of the night, voted on by the professional rugby players of England, after a spectacular Premiership season.

The 111-Test veteran has been a standout for Wasps in the UK Premiership, a key cog in their run to the playoffs and a Champions Cup quarter-final.

The award follows Smith’s dominance of the club’s awards last week, taking out the Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year award.

The 35-year-old was also won Premiership Player of the month in February.

About bloody right as well, King George, just getting better and better. It's a sad day when if we lost Poey, Hooper, Gill, McMahon and Hodgeson the English could still have to line up against Smith..
