Each year the ACT Veterans play a charity match in memory of our team mate Anthony Ryan, who passed away from a brain tumour. Monies raised by the ACT Veterans go to the Clare Holland House, the ACT Hospice, to aid in making the last days as comfortable as possible for patients and their families alike.
On August 1, Tony’s son Chris embarked on a motorcycle trip of a lifetime with a good buddy Jimmy Leahy-Butler to help raise awareness of brain cancer and to assist with the development and research of fighting brain cancer through Dr Charlie Teo's Cure For Life Foundation. Jimmy has put a video on YouTube of their journey through Alaska and the Yukon.
They are well on their way to their fundraising goal of $20,000 and if you wish to make a donation you can do so here at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/WheelsOnTheGround
