Highlanders v Queensland Reds, Forsyth Barr Stadium, Friday 26 May

Upfield struggling at 6 in the scrum, twice now the Highlanders found space down the blind because he didn’t break in time. In his defence Frizell illegally held him back in the first scrum, ref missed it though

Wow, shoulder straight to head of Vest and no penalty? Pretty sure his neck isn’t supposed to bend that way.

Nothing to see here though….

Pickerell doing as kiwi refs do. So far we’ve had a shoulder to Vest’s head, shoulder to O’Connors head, and sliding knees into Wright not looked at
The only positive thing i can say is that come WC later this year, the Kiwis are going to be shocked at the laws of the game that the NH refs are going to focus on. They’re playing to a completely different law book and it’s going to hurt them in France

Really enjoying this commentary team.

I forget his name, but it's a shame the play caller is relegated to third choice behind senile old Nesbitt and wounder Johnson. He's comfortably the best in NZ.

Also helps that it's just the simple play caller and colour commentator setup, instead of trying to cram in as many punishing old former players as possible.

EDIT: Oh wait, there's a third one there too.

EDIT 2: Jeff McTainsh is his name.
