Stream itself has been nice and clear on SBS On Demand (but has been some annoying on-ground technical dropouts)

Well, it certainly delivered as a spectacle from a playing point of view, and if it were played at HBF Park with 10,000+ in the crowd it would have been the undisputed highlight of the rugby week.

Beyond that, I also have to say that Bray and Turinui is far and away the least irritating commentary team in Australia, and once those technical issues were sorted it was a really good broadcast.

I still don't care for the post-try interviews, and if GRR is looking for any post-series feedback I really hope they reconsider it for next year.

I agree with you on two of your three points. While Turinui was fine I cannot stand Bray's chattering style. And his apparent inability to learn which name goes with which face.

Looked about 1500 crowd - but I think expectations wise that is ok. Got a few people to get along and see what Rapid Rugby about with 2 non QLD sides involved. All about who they have in the competition next year and how the sides are balanced with some marquee name players. Japanese and another oz side would be the ideal for me next year.

I watched the 2nd half on SBS, decent game, enjoyed it, hope it thrives. Maybe think about taking some of those games to areas that are starved of rugby and develop a support base there.
