OK, so who's doing it this year? I did it the first time in 2010 and decided to have a break last year - one month of itchiness in 12 was too much. So I'm back again this year as I think men's health does tend to take a back seat, probably due to the tendency for we males to ignore the issue.

As some of you may be aware from previous threads I have a personal interest in the two main issues that Movember is trying to raise awareness for - prostate cancer and depression - as I'm the son of a prostate cancer survivor and I had to deal with the post-traumatic stress of finding a family member who had taken their life when suffering from depression.

If you'd like to help me out, my Movember page is http://au.movember.com/mospace/917956

Thanks

I've jumped in too, along with my Med school buddies - well over $3000 raised so far by our team.

Senior clinicians hate facial hair, so this is our month of respite!

Well done guys. I did it last year and it was worth it for the free burgers from Grilled alone.

When I did it in 2010 I earned a few Grill'd vouchers but couldn't use them because there weren't any outlets in Canberra at the time. Now there's a Grill'd only 10 minutes walk from my work but it appears they're not offering the reward vouchers this year.

After two weeks here's the mo so far:

Last time I did Movember one of my team mates from the ACT Vets told me I looked like Ned Flanders, so this time I decided to go the Boonie look. This time he's told me I look like a Mexican bandido.

Impressive - didn't know they had digital cameras in the 70s

Hey Gagger, Is Movember practiced in the UK?

Toby Flood's Porn Star effort would make sense if it was.

Adam Two-Dad's effort must likewise be a Movember job, or part of a EOYT dare/competition.

Practised, but not perfected.

Three weeks in and I've raised nearly $900 and had to start trimming the mo:

In case you're wondering, I got a mallet injury to my middle right finger at training on Wednesday evening. Must learn to catch properly!

Anyone doing it this year?

I'd give it a go but La Jarse is not keen on the velcro effect. I usually end up doing my bit for the cause by opening the wallet up and setting a few moths free.
