Strong team, sensible arrangement. Hope it works - but not too well!

That's a good coaching team. Like what Sare is doing at the Rats in particular

Phil Blake is apparently off to England to coach one of their premier rugby team's defence and won't be available for the Rays. Any thoughts on who will get the nod in his place?

With Gordon and norths playing ordinary rugby, can't give it to either of those coaches. Warringah going great but coach nic up to higher level. Need to look elsewhere, maybe someone like former cc rays coach john McKee.

What's Bill Millard up to? Has Phil Mooney been contracted to any of the teams as he would be a good signing.

Townsend will do a great job. It was a crime when he was stupidly sacked from Souths after getting them from bottom of the ladder to missing semis by one win several years ago. Since then he has had a stint in Japan, mentored at Sydney Uni & more recently coaching a Gordon club with a number if years of development ahead of them. He deserves a break like this & will do fine
