I think that they look to be a very good chance. Not bad for their first year back.... They will face tough competition from the likes of Liverpool and Clovelly. You definitely can't count out Dundas Valley - from what I hear, their 10 and 15 are two of the best players running around in that competition.

Hi Folks. Long time listener, first time caller.
Noticed there wasn't anyone from UNSW, that I could see, on these boards.
Can only write this cause I stayed around for all the matches. Not a usual thing. Also, have only come back earlier this year after a few years hiatus.
UNSW (me) v Lindfield on the weekend was a hard graft.
We played up at Wakehurst's oval (http://www.wakehurstrugby.com.au/) due to, I believe, the conditions of the Lindfield pitch.
Our Colties got up 67-0. A fair margin. Got some cracking pace and hard young men. Electric.
Fours went down 7-19. We're (still phew) sitting on top of the comp .. Have ground out some tough wins. But these boys came out of the gates with four or five blokes who took it to us, repeatedly. Played the full game, although "struggled through" might be a better description. Lethargy.
Threes got up 26-15. Can't remember much. Not a great game. Came on at half-time and propped against a exuberant young TH. Wiped the smile off his face. Ahhhh. Spirits rising.
Twos lost 23-15. Game could have gone either way really .. But it didn't. We came back with a try, five to go. Couldn't replicate for a bonus point. Sore.
Ones got up 20-0. We have some highly skilled players, but then, so did Lindfield. Difference was the first twenty. Mauled them. Middle of the game was much tighter. Very tight. Then loosened towards the end. Home James.
Playing KOB and Barbarian this weekend. Looking forward to it. Should be a cracker.

for those who havent heard yet oatley 1st grade did the impossible on the weekend and managed to beat balmian!! scored to win the game after the final bell so were very lucky but good game by both. Hopefully it shows the other teams Balmain arnt unbeatable after all

RC this season was always going to be a battle to avoid relegation. This year's comp has been super competitive, especially at the bottom end. Unlike last year there is no obvious cellar-dweller, and it's been a bit of a scrap between 3 or 4 clubs to avoid the drop.
At the moment we are second last, with about 130 points on Briars and about 60 behind St Ives. We have Briars in the last round, so it is going to go right down to the wire. We have Newport away this week, while Briars have Petersham at home.
A few weeks ago I would have said that it would be between us and Briars for the drop, but St Ives were swept by Newport last week and have a tough draw the last two rounds (Forest away and Balmain at home). Signs aren't good for them.
I am confident we will stay up. We lost a lot of players in June/July to holidays and injury, and have just started getting them back. We have an easier draw than both Saints and Briars. It will be close but we might just do enough.

We are gathering a team of players, mostly veterans who played between 2001 and 2010, to play Mosman RUFC in a full competition 3rd grade game in the Suburban rugby Competition. Kick off is at 11.40am at Knox Grammar School, No. 1 oval, Wahroonga.
The latest statistics show cancer will touch all of us in some form during our lives. Recently two fine young men in the prime of their lives were diagnosed with Cancer. Both are brothers and mates of the Knox Community and members of the Knox Old Boys RUFC.
Tim Cussell 29, OKG 2000, was a fit and strong rugby player and sports enthusiast when in 2010 he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Today, after lifesaving surgery Tim is in remission and passionate about raising awareness of bowel cancer and the importance of the Lifehouse holistic approach. Like the late Chris O’Brien, the founder of Lifehouse and fellow cancer sufferer, Tim is using his personal experience to raise awareness and support for cancer patients and their families.
Lachlan Robertson 33, OKG 1996, loving husband and father, was diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Lach enjoyed playing rugby with the Knox Old Boys for several years but never managed to play in a match with all three of his brothers, a feat which would also break the club record. Lach will take the field with brothers Scott, Jason and Bryn for this special game and one final attempt at making club history and moving the brothers into rugby folklore.
Please join us for what will be a memorable day for all ages. Food and beverages will be flowing, with jumping castles and face painting for the kids, charity auctions and of course a fine display of champagne rugby. Every dollar raised on the day will go to Lifehouse, making a material difference to many lives in the future.

I went out to Macquarie Uni to watch some of the games yesterday.
When i arrived there were people at the gate charging a $10 entry fee!
What a joke. If it was at a proper stadium i wouldn't mind a $5 fee or so to cover the ground hire cost, but $10 to watch a park rugby game is ridiculous.

on the flipside i went to watch my friends play their league grandfinal yesterday, was at oki jubilee, so was a full proper stadium and it only cost $5 and you got a programme too
That is what i've been accustomed to also.
I ended going up the road tho Christie park to watch some soccer grand finals, for FREE.
