The AOC will not run the pathways or the development though I think they have to ok selection processes. What you may see, and it has started already, is greater access too and use of the institute networks, in particular AIS, NSWIS and QAS.

So if we all agree that it will take 12-18 months of dedicated 7's training and playing to make the squad, how many players are going to pass up a chance of going to a World Cup for a shot at the Olympics? I don't think many will, especially since they will likely take a big pay cut to do so.
