Queensland Reds 2024

Looks interesting and sure as hell beats the usual crap we see going around.

I'd prefer to see new styles tried, a bit of artistic freedom always makes for interesting jerseys and helps keeps the fans engaged over the off-season.

Canterbury just needs to make sure they release cotton versions as our climate is not built for these types of fabrics.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't buy it but looking at what I'm wearing right now I don't think I'm a great judge. Thought the Jaguars were back for a minute.

I'm sure just as many people will want one as don't like it. I think the other Reds training gear is quite nice. Navy & Red with the Koala on the front.

Yeah, I don't like it as much as last years pacifika warm up shirt but I'm happy to see them mixing things up year on year in the warm up gear, particularly if it means they're a bit more consistent with the Jersey itself.

No sponsor on the front is a little troubling though. I'm guessing that's why we haven't seen a the 2024 jersey announced yet, as they'll be working to lock that down first.

Is Buildcorp the new sponsor?

Article on The Roar suggesting international insurance firm BMS Group to be unveiled as the front of jersey sponsor for The Reds this week until 2027 and the naming rights partner for the new training centre. Stephen Moore has a vested interest as he’s the chief executive of their QLD arm. Great to have this squared away

Must be a big deal. Front and centre of Reds and NRTC

The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) is proud to announce global insurance broker BMS Group as its new Principal Partner, as well as the inaugural naming rights partner of the National Rugby Training Centre (NRTC) at Ballymore, through 2027.

The BMS logo will be displayed on the façade and within the NRTC, plus front-and-centre on the Queensland Reds Super Rugby Pacific, Buildcorp Super Rugby Women’s and Rugby Sevens playing jersey and training apparel.

In addition, the four-year partnership will see BMS involved with Queensland Rugby for the 2025 British and Irish Lions Tour of Australia, as well as the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup, with Ballymore set to have a major involvement with both events.

While globally recognised for its specialist insurance, reinsurance and capital markets advisory services, BMS also has a strong Queensland presence with over 60 staff in the Sunshine State.

Over the past eighteen months BMS has acquired six new Australian broking companies. One of these companies includes Brisbane-based Bluebook Insurance Brokers,co-led by Peter Apolakiatis and former Reds and Wallabies Captain Stephen Moore who is now BMS’ Queensland Managing Director.

I wonder how long this was in the pipeline and what Moore's involvement was in establishing the relationship.

He joined Bluebook about 18 months ago and they were acquired by BMS officially in the last couple of months.

A deal this significant would probably have been worked on for a while, same with the BMS acquisition of Bluebook.

I'm quite happy with the merch pack, you're given credit based on the membership you've chosen and can go in to the store and pick the items you want. There's a reasonable array of things to choose from that suit me, rather than the standard pack they historically sent out. The hats actually look pretty good also. Although it would be good if you could put that credit towards one of the jerseys, but they're not an option.
