If Scott-Young is injured he might come straight into 6, but probably only if Tate is fit or Wright is still injured. Otherwise I do think there is a case for sticking with his impact off the bench.

yeah, there's not a lot of impact from the bench these days. Meaning, no real game breaker. He's it.

At this rate, the Reds would be better off flying to WA tonight to get a full week of dry training over there. I cant imagine Ballymoore is above water?
I doubt there's a field in the city that will be usable, at least for the next couple of days.

I have friends close to Ballymore. Just evacuated as the house was flooding. I don't know how players could be getting to the training ground, let alone finding a rugby field that isn't underwater.

The fact they’re playing in Perth will likely work against Taniela specifically. If he’s suffering from back issues, sitting on a plane for that trip isn’t ideal. He may be held back another week.

Anyone see Offsiders this morning on ABC?

Talk of Tupou being worth $1.5-2m a year for his next contract. I am guessing he will be gone, maybe the Reds need to relocate his family to Brisbane to assist with his decision?

Yes when you look at the market and from memory stats showed highest paid positions in world rugby is tight head prop means retaining TT as probably world best player in that position a challenge. Like you state may take some creative contracting.

Looks like we'll see Nasser starting and a likely Matty Faessler debut off the bench on Friday. Big nights for the both of them

In terms of backline players returning to the field, I think Vunivalu coming back this week would really give me some confidence of getting a W over in Perth.

Bring Vunivalu in, drop Flook to the bench and move Petaia to 13. Jordy seems to be playing with some confidence and I'd like to see him closer to the action, although still not confident of him running around at 15. Our backline needs some more firepower, Daugunnu hasn't looked like his 2020 version for some time and Vunivalu is a player we know can make big plays when fit.

I'd only be dropping Flook if Paisami is coming back into start, instead I'd probably drop Daugunu for Vunivalu or bring him through off the bench. Petaia is going well at wing but also only really playing 60, so swapping him for Vunivalu after half time would be a good way to manage their minutes.

Looks like Suncorp Stadium will be out of service for a few weeks at least, last time it flooded the pitch it caused extensive damage to the drainage and services surrounding the stadium also
